"This is it." Brick beams, pulling his car into a drive.
"Thank you by the way, Brick." Scarlett smiled, "you didn't have to bring me and I appreciate that you did."
"Of course," he turned the engine off and looked up to the girl. "We're friends aren't we?"
A warm feeling erupted in Scarletts chest from those words, it had been a long time since anyone had wanted to be her friend. "Yes, narcissist, we are."
"I really don't like that nickname."
"Oh well!" She giggled, opening her door and climbing out the car before waking towards the front door. Brick followed suit but with the addition to grabbing the clothes from the back. When Brick got to the door Scarlett knocked thrice on it.
A fairly beautiful female opened the door, her smile widening at the sight of Scarlett. "My god, you're gorgeous!"
"Thank you?" Scarlett said awkwardly, she had never been good at taking compliments. "You're beautiful too!"
"Hold on a second," she paused and came outside. "Brick Armstrong?"
"Hi."
"What're you doing here?"
"Just helping a friend."
"Do you guys want to stay?" She gleamed.
"I wish I could but I actually have plans with my friend," Scarlett began. It was true, she did have plans with Harley but not for another couple hours. She knew Patty was only asking because she wanted Brick to stay and for some reason that made her mad.
"Brick?"
"I'm the driver, sorry."
Patty looked at Scarlett with a sly smile. "I'm sure you'd be fine walking, right?"
"Well actually, Brick is supposed to be joining me and my friend."
"Is that true?"
Brick looked between the girl as he tried to hold back a smirk, "yes it is."
"What a shame."
"Such a shame." Scarlett sighed sarcastically.
