Perfectionist

Christen Press has lived almost everyday of her life the same. She gets up at 6am leaves the house at 7:30 picks up her best friend since kindergarten Kelley O'Hara and gets to school by 8:00. Then at 3:00 when school is over she has soccer practice. Once that's over at 5:00 she goes home and takes a shower at 7:00. She eats dinner at 8:00. Does her homework no later than 9:30. Reads her books before bed. And is sleep by 11:00.

She has her life on a schedule and she likes it that way. It helps her make sure that everything goes right and that she has time for everything. If one thing goes out of place it bothers her the whole day.

After her long eventful weekend with her friends she gets ready for the next week. She was in bed reading when her phone buzzed on her bedside table. She picks it up and opens the notification she got from Instagram. A post from Kelley's page shows a picture of her, Julie Ertz, and Alex Morgan holding red cups and making varying faces and poses. The caption saying "#partytillyoudrop". Christen may seem like she wouldn't even want to be bothered with a party by her tight schedule. But once the weekend hits she's like any other teenager. Christen smiled and liked the post then clicked the power button on her phone and closed her book after realizing it was after 10:30. She closed her eyes and quickly went to sleep.

On Monday she did her normal routine and went to Kelley's house to pick her up. Kelley came outside and put her bags in the back then got in the front.

"Did you remember your keys and water bottle" Christen asked Kelley. She asked her everyday because somehow Kelley forgot everyday.

She felt around in her pockets before responding

"Got the water bottle but not the keys".

"Well that's some progress at least you remembered one of them" Christen said laughing.

As soon as Kelley got out of the car to get them her mom opened the door holding her keys.

"Kelley sweetie you do this everyday" her mom said with a smile while handing Kelley her keys

"Hi Mrs.O'Hara" Christen said with a smile and wave while leaning out the car window.

"Hey Christen" She said back "Tell your parents I said hi". Mrs.O'Hara is like my second mom she's known me since I was little considering me and Kelley's friendship.

Once we were at school we got out and grabbed our stuff and started walking towards the building. Kelley and I continued our conversation that we had in the car.

"So me and Alex walked in to the fro yo place and we saw that really hot guy from the last football game but turns out he goes to our rival school and-"

"BOO!" Julie hopped out from behind her car making me almost drop my stuff while Kelley full on screamed making everyone in the parking lot look at us. Jj and Alex couldn't stop laughing

"Haha very funny guys" Kelley says after collecting herself.

"Oh man I didn't think she would scream" Alex says still laughing. We start walking together and after a little more talking at our lockers we part ways to go to class.

Once I'm in my first period I head to my seat. I'm scrolling through twitter on my phone when I go to put my books down and realize that somethings not right. I look up and see a really tan girl with brown hair scribbling in her book.

"Um hi sorry to bother you but I usually sit here" I say to the girl in front of me hoping she'll decide to sit somewhere else.

"Oh well I don't think we have assigned seats in this class" she said before her hazel eyes looked back down in her book. Starting to get a little annoyed I decide to try again.

"Oh I get it you must be new here well you see I sit here everyday and I'd really hate to sit somewhere else-"

"I am new here and sorry but I really don't want to get up" she said shrugging

Fed up I just take the seat diagonal from her and just before the teacher could walk in and start class. I couldn't keep from staring at her in annoyance. I couldn't care less if she was new or not she was ruining my day and it's barely started. I sank down in my seat and tried to pay attention to the lesson.
