What did yall think of the last chapter? I'd be warned though, the angst isn't exactly over yet; one more chapter after this one... Probably, I'm not sure yet.

Also, a better explanation for some of the events that happen further on in the story is that Katelyn is taller than Travis, it's to make events in the story easier.

. . .

And so, after the prison bars were set and the magic separated the group, they went their separate ways, it was for the best, they couldn't have any more fights especially since it was too dangerous for the cops to be added into the situation either. How were they going to explain any of this especially the magic part? However this situation was long than over, for now, Leif's revenge still was in need to be enacted, and now was that time.

None of them expected, they thought it was over, that they'd never have to deal with them again and it'd be over and done with. It wasn't, and it never would be. Though Katelyn was sure Travis wished he was, that was when he woke up. Though she wished she'd wake up from what she assumed it was a nightmare, sadly it wasn't.

Katelyn thought she could have prevented it if she stayed by Travis's side, but she knew well in the deep part of her mind that no matter what she did the same thing would happen. no matter what.

She had left Travis's side to talk to Aphmau and ask if she was okay, along with Kawaii~Chan too. Zane had been faring well but Garroth had insisted on staying by his side for however long he had desired to so he could make sure he was okay, Kawaii~Chan left the two of them alone, it was nice to see them being there for each other so she didn't want to intervene.

And so as she busied herself checking if the others were okay Lucinda had spotted a motel for them to stay at. They were set for a place to stay for the day and now they could avoid further incidents. Or that's what she thought before a scream rang out behind them.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU- GET AWAY-" Someone screeched, and she knew damn well who it was, Travis, she could recognize that voice anywhere. The thing was she had noticed what was going on far too late. Her eye's widened, mouth slightly agape.

She couldn't move no matter how much she wanted to. It was like she was frozen in time, it was like time was frozen.

She watched as Travis was violently grabbed by his hair and had his head bashed against the wall. She didn't recognize who it was, but she knew it was one of the daemos, the ones that they hadn't hurt but one who had antagonized her earlier that day. Leif, she didn't know his name, but the author wanted you to know who it was.

"TRAVIS-" Katelyn shouted her tone laced with concern but anger leaking into it once she saw that the deed was done and Leif had already teleported away following after the group he was sought to be in from the start. She saw Travis's body slump against the wall slowly sliding down the wall as he laid on the ground, his consciousness already long gone once his body was on the ground.

Katelyn wasn't sure what she should have done, chase after the Daemos or make sure Travis was alright, she almost went with the latter but was stopped by Aphmau. "It's not worth it Katelyn if we cause any more trouble then the police will get involved, and then..."

Katelyn sighed as she was gritting her teeth together. "I guess you're right Aph, but still, he deserves it." Katelyn angrily stated and Aphmau nodded. "But I think you should go see your boyfriend and make sure he's okay while we go find a motel to stay at," Aphmau said with a dismal tone in her voice.

Katelyn muttered something but quickly turned on her heels towards Travis direction, she could already see Lucinda was at his side and she made her way to his side as well, crouching down next to him. "Is he?..." Lucinda nodded.
