"That girl...I cannot let her go alone."

He tossed and turned in his bed that night, eyebrows furrowed as something in his dream was bothering him. It was blurry visions that came into focus for only a fraction of a second and then disappeared from his sight. Everything moved so fast that he didn't even know what to make of it. The visions, he had figured out, were a product of a near death experience he had suffered recently. In which he had tried to show off at the gym with his swimmer buddies. He had tried to jokingly show them that diving wasn't so difficult and that he could win a medal if he so wished, all in the name of a good laugh.

His friends had been laughing along with him until he took a dive in the Olympic sized pool and did not resurface for more than just a few seconds. They then pulled his unconscious body out of the water and called an ambulance while one of the swimmers performed CPR. He had bumped his head at the bottom of the pool and passed out, but what concerned him more were the strange dreams he'd been having since then. It was like something had been unlocked and was showing him snippets of a life he did not know, a life he did not recognize.

In his dreams, the one thing was was always clear to him, or the one person that was always clear to him was her

He could always remember her kind expression whenever he'd wake up. He talked to his friends about it and one of them thought it was some kind of sign. That the universe was trying to tell him something. That maybe he was seeing moments from a past life. Junyoung did not believe in all of that. He thought there was always a logical explanation for everything. That is until he ran into her at the gym. She was there with a friend, getting medical physical therapy. Junyoung's personal trainer Rudy had mentioned that the two girls had both miraculously gotten out of a year long coma. But he knew just from looking at her that she was the same girl from his dreams, it had to be. But always in his dreams, he noticed that she never wore present day clothing. She was always dressed in the traditional hanbok.

He didn't know her name and he also didn't know why he appeared to him in his dreams. All he knew was that they had some kind of bond. He could feel it. Perhapos, another one of his friends suggested, he had just seen her once before and probably thought she was pretty. His mind was then manifesting her in his dreams.

The first few dreams in which he saw her for a few brief flashes, he felt happy when he saw her smile that was directed at him. He felt like something good was happening just for them. Flashes coming in and out of focus of his hand in hers, or her head on his shoulder as they sat on a large boulder overlooking a beautiful waterfall. Her smile which seemed as bright as the sun, making his heart flutter like a little boy. He never even heard her voice, his dreams of her were too short and out of focus for him to even ask her anything. It was like a camera focusing in on her just enough for him to see who she was, and then he was always alone.

As the series of strange dreams progressed he felt sorrow from both her and himself, a feeling of powerlessness that had him feeling frustrated upon waking up. They could no longer embrace and be together. Her lovely smile was no longer present on her face, and her eyes had lost that light she had in them. Her eyes were also lost, as though she were looking out into the distance. As though she were blind. Their sorrow then slowly transitioned into a different feeling for each of them. While he remained waiting for her in his dreams, his heart holding onto her eternally, he noticed that when he saw her smile again, it was a bittersweet feeling for him. She did not smile for him anymore, but for another. A boy who he felt a connection to as well, but that love that he once had for that boy quickly turned into resentment. And that resentment then transitioned into hate
