Her brown curls were drenched with perspiration as she waited for the bus, to go home, after her basketball training. As a 15 year-old girl was waiting by the bus stop, an old run downed silver van pulled infront of her, and a man wearing a black mask and an old, dirty brown leather jacket stepped out of the van. He was staring at the young girl with bulging eyes. She was startled by the suspicious man's stare and turned to look away immediately.
While she was not looking, the man covered her nose and mouth with a tattered white cloth, soaked with chlorofoam. Her vision started to blur and her surroundings seemed to swirl and darken. She struggled to stay conscious but the pungent smell of the chlorofoam took over her.
As she fell into a slumber, I woke up with a start. "What was that? It was as though I was there witnessing that incident. But who exactly is she?" Many questions and thoughts were running through my head. I was confused, yet unusually calm. But I could not seem to remember anything else other than that brown-haired girl in my dream. After much thoughts, I comforted myself back to sleep...
She found herself in a dark room, barely able to see through the darkness. The air was musty and the room was stuffy. She could feel her sweat dripping off her fringe as she squinted her eyes to figure out what's hiding in the dark. It was not clear, but she was able to tell that she was in an abandoned place. The place was filled with cobwebs and dust, and a few broken chairs lying around on the floor.
For some weird reason, on the floor were some black figures. Even though she strained her eyes, she was unable to tell what those figures were."What was that?" she thought to herself, wide-eyed. One of the figures moved! She got paranoid when she saw the figure moving towards her. Her shirt was drenched with sweat and tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. Her hands started trembling as the dark figure staggered closer.
She then realised the unknown figure was a pale-skinned girl who looked about the same age as her. The pale girl had obvious bruises and cuts on her body, and her clothes were torn and tattered. She had jet-black hair, and was skinny to the bones. She sat beside the confused girl and introduced herself as Alice, and has been in the abandoned room with some other girls for weeks already.
"Looks like you are the new victim..."
Alice then explained that the man who brought her here was a serial kidnapper that had kidnapped other girls whom the brown-haired girl saw as the dark figures. That was when a sudden thought struck her. "How long have I been here? My parents must have been worried sick! Not only that, where are all my belongings?" she pondered. She was then told by Alice that all their belongings were taking away by the kidnapper.
We sat on the dusty floor in silence while the others were still unconscious. In a corner of nowhere, we heard a sound of faint footsteps. Alice immediately dropped to the floor, as though she was unconscious. The same man who captured her appeared infront of her without even her noticing. His eyes darted around the dimly lit room. Through the darkness, she did not sense his muscular hand reaching out the grab her. She screamed in anxiety when she felt a big, warm hand against her sweaty body. She screamed and struggled as the burly kidnapper dragged her across the cold floor. From the corner of her hawk-like eyes, she could make out that Alice was looking at her with a grimancing expression. Without notice, she felt something hard and sharp banged on her back. The impact was so enormous that she started to lose focus on her surroundings and her eyelids started to close. Even before her realising, she was already unconscious...
She woke up, feeling dizzy. Her eyes lit up in panic as she realised she was tied tight onto a chair. She struggled and fidgeted but the ropes would not even budge. Despite being tied up onto a chair, she figured out thay she was still in the exact same room as before. The burly man was nowhere in sight but the girls from before were now conscious. They started telling each of their stories to her of what happened to them after they were brought into this deserted house. Elisha was astonished upon hearing their words.
