" You want to do what? "

       Wind blew in August's face as she rolled down her window, placing her arm out of the car, tapping along with the music on the side of the door. Not minding her hair hitting her face, she smiled enjoying the nice weather.
       Noting her destination coming up, she put on her blinker to turned onto the road, looking ahead to the building before her. The large fences, and amazing security only a few feet ahead of her.
      Pulling into a parking place, August put her car in park, leaving her music playing as she got out of her car. Leaning against the hood of her car, she pulled out her phone, seeing the time being 8:23 am, she saw she only had to wait for maybe one more minute. She continued to drum her fingers on her car to spare the time.
       Hearing a loud noise, she looked up to see what she was here for.
       "Kai Havelock. I didn't know there was a dress code. If so I would've dressed up a little bit more." Laughing, August stood up straight, as she saw her best friend walked towards her in a familiar tux.
       "Oh yeah, if I knew I was gonna get arrested at a suit and tie party, I would've worn sweatpants and a sweatshirt." Kai walked up to the girl laughing, flicking her on the forehead. She looked up to give him a glare, but her emotions got the best of her as she gave him a big smile instead.
         Havelock pulled her into a hug, as she sighed happily. They haven't been able to see each other, as Kai was in jail for 5 years, but having this moment was good enough for them.
         After seeing him being taken away by the cops was already heartbreaking for her, but just being able to hug him after so long felt so good.
The night he was arrested, they went to a party. That said party was a set up, for the cops to arrest Kai, as they knew he was the one to rob an art museum only month's before hand. Little did they know, his unknown partner in crime was there with him.
         August helped him steal two pieces in the museum, and was able to get out of the building as planned. Kai on the other hand was not as lucky, as one of the security guards, Kai thought he was able to knockout, came running into the the room. The guard was able to see Kai, taking off his mask, running down the stairwell.
         August always felt guilt about this, and felt as if she should also be in jail with him. Though if she was she wouldn't have been able to prepare what was able to come.
         Pulling away from the hug she gave him a small smile, she softly pushed him away. August opened the drivers side door, getting ready to drive away from the prison. Unlocking the passenger door when she sat down, she turned the music down, as Kai got into the car with her. Taking the car out of park, she pulled out onto the road back to the highway.
         Sitting in a comfortable silence, August took this time to take the courage to say what she waited to say for about 3 years. Turing to look at Kai nervously, she turned back to look at the road, feeling too nervous. Doing this a couple more times, Kai noticed something was up with his his smaller friend.
        "Just spit it out AJ, I know you want to say- " he started, but August took his advice to spit it out.
        "What if we robbed the Grand Ace Casino?" Kai  went silent as he heard this, looking at August and the small nervous smirk on her face. Her eyes starting ahead of her, looking out to the road, too nervous to look at Kai's reaction.
        Kai knew exactly what casino she was taking about, why she wanted to, and who ran it. He knew that when she had that face, she already thought about it long before she would mention it to him. The Grand Ace Casino, the most guarded, most expensive casino in all of Los Angeles. According to Kai Havelock's mind, August Alden had a death wish if she thought she wanted to follow through with this plan.
      "You want to do what?"
She looked towards her friend, and gave him a smile. August knew Kai had figured out why she wanted to do this in the matter of seconds she had said the idea.
"You heard me Kai..."
"I knew you had a death wish, but not this bad." Kai ran his hand down his face, sighing. August nodded gently, she knew what she wanted to get into.
August Alden definitely knew how dangerous this heist would be, and all the possible endings. She ran everything through her head, and ran small jobs to make sure everything would go to plan. She knew mostly everything down to the smallest detail.
"Have you thought about this fully AJ? Like really fully? Cause this could either end with jail, or death. Both of them, not sounding fun to me right now." He said while turning to his friend, he still couldn't rap his head around the thought of this.
"Trust me, when we get to my apartment, I'll explain everything." Giving him a reassuring smile, she turned the music up, singing along to her favorite song.
"You better Alden. I just got out of prison, I don't want to go back just yet." Kai exclaimed, leaning his head on the car window, closing his eyes. Last thing he heard before he feel asleep was August's soft laugh, as she continued singing along to the radio.
