…ooOoo…
Ever since I became friends with Maya, binigyan ako ni Pest ng breathing space. He would be a foot away from me and Maya whenever we’re together so that we can have our girl talk. Kasi kahit nerdy ‘tong si Maya, may kakirihan ding taglay. She would talk non-stop about boys, mostly about members of kpop bands. Dati si Pest ang kinukulit niya, which I found amusing and irritating at the same time.
But seeing him with Elizabethhhh made my blood boil. And when she wrapped her arms on his, a red cloud of haze shrouded my vision. I heard Maya called my name repeatedly but I’m too focused on thinking of ways to abolish the slut on my sight.
I saw Pest looked at my direction and a look of concern and satisfaction showed in his face. Satisfaction?! Of what?! Having a slut decorating his arm? Mas lalong kumulo ang dugo ko. I have, after all, my father’s blood in me.
“You.are.such.a.pervert!” I hissed, loud enough for him to hear.
A mask slid in his face making it look impassive but a second later it was replaced with something ominous. He callously ripped Elizabethhh’s arms off of him before he so casually sauntered towards me. All of a sudden, he lifted me up from my seat and kissed me then and there; with all the students in the cafeteria to see.
But I don’t care! Galit ako! I responded to his kiss kahit na wala akong alam sa paghalik. Ginaya ko lang ang ginawa niya. He stopped and gasped as I felt him shivered; a ragged breath escaped his lips. I opened my eyes that I didn’t notice I closed when he was ravaging my lips.
“Sorry…” He whispered huskily before he let me go and walked away. Leaving me, us, in shocked silence…
The ride home was awkward as with the rest of the afternoon. He won’t meet my eyes and when I asked him something he would respond mono syllabically. Why? He already kissed me twice before and he just… joked about it. Was it because I responded? Was that wrong? Why am I so affected?!
I skipped dinner and just stayed in my room to sulk. The boys came up to see what’s wrong with me before dinner. I just told them that I’m tired and they reluctantly left me. And as soon as the door closed, the tears fell down my cheeks. I fell asleep in that state. When I woke up, it was still dark outside and according to the digital clock on my bedside table; it’s only 12:51.
Dahan-dahang akong kumilos sa kama para silipin si Pest but he’s not where he was supposed to be.
Napaiyak ulit ako and spent the rest of the night doing just that. When morning came, I sluggishly prepared for school because he didn’t show up to check on me and when I was about to open the door, someone opened it from outside. My heart raced with anticipation… only to be crushed when it was my Mom’s face that came into view.
“Yuna…? What’s wrong baby?” She asked so gently that I had a hard time preventing my tears from forming. I just shook my head and told her that I just didn’t sleep well. It’s just a white lie but still I felt guilty lying to my Mom.
“Well. You don’t need to go to school today. Your father is still taking care of the paperworks.”
“Paperworks for…?”
