*No one's POV*

*Present day (2019)*

As Eddie oppened the door to his large, almost abandoned home, he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Something was off. He hesitated for a long moment, debating wether or not he should go in. Eddie always got an ominous feeling when he was alone at night but this time was.. worse, much worse. Eddie took a deep breath as he mustered up the courage to step into the house.

"You're overthinking this Eddie," he whispered to himself, "Nothings wrong. You're okay."

Eddie quickly threw his shoes off and ran to his room as fast as a small asthmatic boy could. His house was big with almost too much space for just Eddie and his mother. Eddie's had the biggest bedroom in the house, no thanks to his mother whom he had to beg for weeks to move up into the second level of the house. HIs mom always worried hed choke going up the stairs or there'd be a fire and eddie would be trapped. 

When Eddie had finally gotten to his room he slammed and locked the door behind him making a loud sound that echoed through the whole house. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and sunk into his bed after discarding his belongings from school.

Eddie had started to drift into a peaceful sleep when he heard a large bang that seemed to come from the room above him. Eddie quickly shot up in bed and looked around puzzled. See- Eddie was the only one home right now and he knew that. Curious, Eddie got up out of bed and started walking slowly to the stares.
