You'd stay awake in a fright,
Scared beyond your hearts ability to cope.
She'd leave you if you fell asleep.
You dared not close your eyes, until you saw the light of day . Somehow then you knew it was safe.
Countless nights you lost your sleep, and she still left you in the day .
And now you lose your sleep pondering where and when you went wrong, when it was never you at fault .
