The Day It Happened

Entry one.

I woke up really late this morning, I sat up to check the time and it was already noon. I was up all night texting my boyfriend Jake. Me and Jake had been together for 2 years and things were better than ever. I took awhile but I finally told him that I loved him and to my suprise he felt the same way. I noticed I had a text from him from 10 minutes ago. So I decided to text him back. 

To: Jakey-Boo❤❤

"Hi baby❤ What's up? I love you❤ Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYY!!!!! YOUR THE BEST, I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS BABE."

From: Jakey-Boo❤❤

"Just driving. I love you too❤❤ So much, it's crazy.Aw baby thank you so so much. I'll love you forever and always too. And believe that you my darling, is the best. 

To: Jakey-Boo❤❤

"Aw. Why don't you come over later. Say 4? 

I decided to get dressed. So I gor up and put on some skinny jeans and I put on a shirt that Jake gave to me and then I grabbed one of his sweatshirts and tied it around my waist. I put my phone into my back pocket. I went into my kitchen and got something to eat then I went and took a drive to the store to get Jake a gift for his birthday, it was today. A couple hours had passed and no reply. I started to get worried. It was six and Jake was supposed to be at my house two hours ago. So I decided to text him again. 

To: Jakey-Boo❤❤

Hey baby, where are you? You were supposed to be over 2 hours ago. What happened? Are you okay?! If somethings wrong please tell me. I just wanna know that your okay. Are you mad at me? Did I do something? I love you so so so so much. Hope your okay! ❤

I decided to do something to take my mind off of it. So I went to wrap his birthday gift. I had gotten him a really nice jacket that he wanted. I didn't know what else to get him. He always went above and beyond to make me happy on my birthday. My last birthday which was three weeks ago he got me a beautiful necklace with a heart, a key, and an infinity center on it. He told me that he would always love me, that I would aways hold the key to his heart and that we'd be together forever. And he got me a promise ring, promising me that we would be married someday. After I wrapped his present I still couldn't stop thinking about him. So I decided to go hang out in my sisters room with her and watch some tv. So I got off my bed and walked into her room. "Hey Claire" I said, faking a smile. "Hey Hayde, what's wrong? " She said, concerned. I took a seat on her bed. " I was texting Jakey earlier and he was driving and he never texted me back. It's his birthday and he was supposed to come over at 4 and I haven't heard from him all day. I'm really worried about him." I said tearing up a bit. "Hey, hey, hey it'll be okay. He's gonna be alright. Maybe he just needs sometime for himself. " She said coming over by me and rubbing my back. "Thanks claire" I said. A second later my phone started ringing. It was jakes mom. 

Me: Hi Mrs. Conners. What up? 

Her: Um, Hayden I don't want you to freak out. But I have something important to tell you. 

Me: Yeah go ahead. 

Her: Jake was in a car accident, he didnt make it. I'm so sorry. -She started crying- 

Me: Oh. Um. I....I gotta go. -I have a super shocled look on my face and Claire notices.-

Her: Bye. -She hangs up- 

I walk out by mom and claire follow me concerned about what happened. "Mom" I said. My mom turned around. "J...jake" I tried telling her everything but I broke down crying and fell to the floor. I couldn't stop crying. My mom called Jake's mom to see what happened, she walked out of the room once she answered. My mom came back in the room after a few minutes. And she sat down next to me and she didn't say anything she just sat there rubbing my back. I hadn't stopped crying. I was at the point to where I couldn't breathe. She picked me up off the floor and sat me in the chair and she sat next to me. "Hayden, i'm so sorry...." She tried saying before I cut her off. " Mom I just need to be alone for awhile. I hope that's okay." I said starting to cry again. She nodded and I walked into my bedroom and fell onto the floor. I started crying again. I was up all night that night crying. I eventually woke Claire up at about four a.m. She came into my room and picked me up off the floor and put me onto my bed. She pulled the blanket up over me and she sat next to me and let me cry into her shirt. I eventually cried myself to sleep and the next thing I knew it was 6 am. I had gotten 2 hours of sleep and I had forgotten about this thing I had to go to with my mom at 6:45. I had sat up and saw a picture of me and Jake together and I started crying. My mom instantly came in by me and pulled me out of bed hugging me and she walked with me into the kitchen. She made me my favorite breakfast and set it in front of me. Unsprisingly I wasn't hungry. I pushed my food around for ten minutes before I gave up. "Claire, could you help me with my makeup?" I asked her and she nodded. We walked into my room together I was still crying. She sat me on my vanity and she used a face cleaning wipe and cleaned my face. Then she got me out an outfit out and helped me get dressed into it. She put the necklace that Jake got me on and handed me my phone. She did my make up for me. I thanked her and hugged me. " I love you" I said to her. " I love you too" She replied.
