It wasn't me! Chapter 8

"In the name of wall Maria." You cried as you looked at your blistered hands. After hours and hours of cleaning, you were finally finished.

You sighed and stood up, ignoring the pain in your back and knees as they cracked. You let out a tired yawn as you threw the rag in a bucket.

"Finally." You muttered and started putting away cleaning supplies. A few (h/c) hairs fell in your face as you were doing so, and you blew them away ungracefully.

A few minutes later you finished and started heading up to your room. You even started closing your eyes for a couple moments in hopes to energize yourself. You started closing them again and next thing you knee you ran into someone. You stumbled backwards and mumbled an apology.

"It's alright." Armin responded. "Are you alright (y/n)? You look a little... Tired." He said giving you a bright smile. You gave a weak laugh in return.

"Yea. Yea I am." You said with another deep yawn.

"Do you need me to walk you to your room? You know, that way I can keep you from running into people or walls." He offered.

"No thanks. I think I'll make it." You responded and ruffled his hair, causing a bright pink to rise to his cheeks.

You let out another exhausted sigh as you burst through your door. You smiled dreamily at the sight of your bed. The next thing you know, you are plopped on your bed spread out like a starfish not even caring to take off your uniform. You took one last quick glance around your room and shut your eyes for a nice nap.

And then you realized you never reported back to Levi.

"NOOO!" You screamed into your pillow. Fortunately it did a good job of muffling it. You moaned as you pulled yourself out of bed.

You muttered incoherent words while shuffling down the hallways.

Soon you arrived to the dreaded destination. You raised a fist up to the door and knocked.

"Name and business." A cold voice responded.

"(Y/n) (l/n). I'm done with my punishment." You said.

"Come in brat."

You walked in and saluted and immediately saw his glare.

"Tch. You're filthy." He scoffed.

You took a quick glance down at yourself. He was right. Your uniform was covered in dirt while your hair was a mess.

He ran a hand through his dark disheveled hair and leaned backwards. He had dark bags under his eyes and it looked as if he had been up for hours. Next to his arms were empty tea cups that must have been there for a long amount of time. His jacket hung on his chair, just leaving him in his starch white shirt, pants, and the cravat you 'stole'. Even in this state he looked handsome. You tried to divert your gaze from him.

Levi noticed this and raised an eyebrow. He nodded for you to take the chair. You sat down quickly. And an eerie silence filled the room until he spoke.

"Did you clean everything like you were told brat?" He asked you like an adult scolding a child.

"Yes." You said with slightly visible anger despite your previous thoughts.

"Will you be stupid enough to do anything like that again?" He asked in mockery.

"Maybe." You responded. He scoffed and looked back down at his papers.

"You can go." He said dismissively.

You weren't listening though, as a matter of fact, your eyelids were fluttering closed quickly. After a moment of Levi hearing nothing he looked back up to find you almost asleep.

"Oi, cadet. Get out." He repeated loudly. You jolted awake. You cleared your throat and stood up after his words registered in your mind. You gave one last salute and walked out. If you would have stayed longer you would have seen a slightly visable smirk.

You walked slowly down the halls. Suddenly a smell reached your nose and you looked to find Sasha just a few meters ahead. She waved and smiled merrily when she caught your eye. She practically pranced over to you.

"Are you ready?" She asked while jumping around in a circle. You laughed at her enthusiasm.

"For what?" You questioned.

"The party! Duh!" She yelled and grabbed your arm.

"But Sasha I just finish-"

"No buts (y/n)! We are going!" She exclaimed while dragging you behind her.
