Dear Tom
I do remember. I was so mad at you!
Who would thought we would fall in love?
Tom, I'm trying to be happy but I am worried, scared.
The old lady in the bed opposite mine has died. She had consumption alike me.
I could die.Death and dead seem hard brutal, words.
But I will survive for you.
I can't wait to leave the hospital, I hate it here. It's not that the nurses or the doctors are cruel or anything of the sort, they are nice friendly people but death seems to be everywhere.
A few days ago I sang in the hospital ward. I sang our special song. Everyone stopped and listened.
I don't even know why I started singing. I just needed to.When I finished they applauded me.
An old man complimented my voice:
You have a beautiful voice, my dear he said.
Thank you I replied.I promise I won't die, I will live and come back to you. Our dreams of a happy future are within reach.
I would do anything to be able to see you again.
I love you
Emma
