"Baaah RING! baaah RING!"

I woke with a start to the ear splitting screech of my cell phone's wake up call forcing me back to earth. I slammed my fist down on the annoying piece of plastic and it finally shut up.

I ruffled my thick, chocolate hair and blinked, adjusting my eyes to the faint sheen of sunlight pouring through my window.

I slowly stood up and took my time, stretching out my arms before lazily dragging myself across my room to the bathroom, and then the shower.

I listened to the rhythmic pound of tiny drops sizzle as they hit my skin then get sucked down the drain below my feet as I thought out the upcoming day.

With a sigh, I reluctantly turned off the water and stepped out. I got dressed in my normal skinny jean and t shirt combo and combed through my hair, then tied it up in a messyu bun in the back of my head. Next I applied some light concealer and eye liner, then stepped back to examine today's final product.

With a quick, accepting nod of my head I grabbed my messenger bag and checked the time on my cell phone; 7:00. Oh crap.

I streamed through three wide hallways within the house and around the corner to the front door. Once I stepped outside, I hurried down our little street to the bus stop where two other people were waiting.

"Hey Aphrodite," a guy named Cody said to me.

"Morning," I replied with a small smile.

Cody and I weren't close, but we had taken walks together from time to time and I had found that he was a pretty nice guy. Not to mention his looks. He had dirty blonde hair that always looked messy in that perfectly sexy way, and a mature face with navy blue eyes. He was in choir and on the swim team and that was all I knew of his social status. Plus that his family of four lived in the house next to me... And that he had a girlfriend.

The bus screeched to a stop in front of us and we all climbed the three steps up and found our seats. I sat in my usual, the one I'd claimed back in seventh grade. It was four seats back from the door with a faded black number seven on the window.

I plugged in my ear phones and flicked on my iPod.

Sadly, we soon arrived at the smallish brick building that was Blackmoore High.

I filed into the line of exiting students and made my way to the entrance when suddenly, I was violently shoved into the person next to me.
