Fang the Sniper

Prologue

Footsteps on the cold stones abrupted the silence and a dim light outshined the light of the sun that came from the small barred windows of the locked spaces. A man in a military uniform dragged a girl over the floor, before throwing her in the cell next to Fang. Fang looked up at the mans face as he quietly sat against the wall. The soldier looked at him and grinned. ''You finally got yourself a neighbour. You darn weasel''. The man turned away and left. Fang looked to his right where the girl was. She was trying to sit up straight, but her struggles were in vain. She had band aids all over her body. She looked weak, exhausted, at the end. After a while the girl with tiger print fur gave up and just laid down, not moving a single muscle. As the rays of the sun faded and the prison cells became darker, until it was hard to see, the door opened and a military woman entered with a lantern. ''Its time for food you scum. Get on your feet or starve for the night.'' Fang quickly looked at the girl on his right. She was trying so hard to stand. She won't survive if she skips a meal now. Fang slowly tried to reach her hand and managed to do so. He pulled her to him. When she was close to the bars between them, she looked up. ''You...You are helping me?...'' Fang just nodded as he stood up on his feet and quickly pulled her up. She managed with the help of the bars to get to the door of her cell to reach for her food. As soon as she had the food she sat down against the bars close to Fang his cell. After receiving his part of the meal he just went back to that one piece of wall, that he made his comfort sitting spot. He slowly ate the little piece of chicken in his bucket. The amount of food was small, but enough to survive in this prison. The only thing you could do there was wander around your cell. ''Thank you.....'' he heard coming from the girl. ''Don't thank me.'' ''But...'' ''Just don't''. He looked away from her. And so the days went on. The girl next to him became stronger and her injuries seemed to getting less. ''Hold on a minute!.... Why do I even care? She is just a weak girl, who probably did something stupid'' is what he thought quickly as he noticed his own worry for the girl. ''Come on Fang. You can't get all love dovely with a girl you just think is cute''. He rubbed his eyes. ''You got better things to do...'' was his last thought as he looked at the broken bricks that covered his cell floor. He suddenly looked to the right. The girl came to the bars and looked at him. ''My name is..'' ''Zip it! Do not say a word. '' He turned to face the wall and gave it a few punches. ''How did you get here anyway? You don't look like a girl who does many bad things.'' He looked her way. ''Well, I... I tried to steal an emerald.'' ''An emerald? You mean the emerald in the king his gold chamber?'' He raised one of his eyebrows. ''Yes....That one.'' Fang busted out in laughter. ''What is so funny?'' She looked displeased with his reaction. ''I tiny little cat girl...Breaking in, in one of the most secured chambers on the planet? Don't make me laugh even more.'' ''First of all, I'm not a cat. And second I did break in and I almost had the emerald.'' ''Ok, ok. If you are THAT good. Than break us out of here.'' He grinned as he said that, but looked surprised when she started to grin back. ''I will, but I need to know one thing from you.'' ''And that is?'' He raised his left eyebrow as he was still in disbelieve. ''Can you ride a motorcycle?'' Fang looked up surprised. ''A motorcycle?.....Yeah, I can ride that.'' The girl turned his back to him. ''Perfect.'' Fang shook his head. ''What a strange girl, all talk...'' is all he thought. The next day after receiving their lunch, the girl quickly told him not to eat his lunch just yet. He didn't know why, but he just did what she asked. The sunlight started to fade slowly. ''Ok, now eat your lunch and face me.'' He gridded his teeth as he hated it when someone ordered him around. But still he did as she said and faced her. She quickly grabbed his chest fur and kissed him through the bars. ''Wait! What?!'' is what he thought out of surprise. Than he felt her tongue pushing something into his throat. She ended the kiss with a smile and said: '' I would swallow that if I were you. Unless you want to stay here.'' He saw how she putted some strange looking tablet in her mouth and swallowed it. He quickly swallowed, but a part of him regretted. The thought of it being a trap and that he could die now went through his mind like a storm. He looked back at the girl, who in all comfort had her hand in her bra, but before he could say something she took out a tiny little bomb. She squeezed it and placed it at the wall close to the bars of Fang his cell. ''3......2.....1.....Ka-'' And the bomb exploded. But just as quick some soldiers came is, but the smoke of the bomb made them collapse to the ground. Fang looked surprised. First at the soldiers and then to the big part of the wall that went missing. ''Don't worry, the soldiers aren't dead. But they will sleep for a couple of days.'' She grabbed his hand and jumped down, straight into the waves that were punching the rocks of the building. Fang was in shock and lost his consciousness somewhere between the jump and hitting the water.
