Dreams of rolling in money concurred my mind monthly. To wish that I was more than what they thought was out-ruled. Sometimes I hoped of something that would push me over the edge just to get there, but that was last year. "Since you say money can't buy happiness why is it so fabulous? Why is it so.....attractive?" I say in my head as I walk down the street to Ki's house. It was getting dark my mother would be pissed. Oh well fuck her, she will be fine. I approached the front door of my best friend's house. God knows I loved that kid. Before I could knock on the door someone's arms wrapped around my waist lifting me off the ground. I was ready to scream but Ki's laughter quickly calmed me down. "Please never do that ever again, ever." I said. "You're so pussy, Lani." Ki said, putting me down. We were still on the front porch laughing. "Why the fuck were you outside already?" I said scrunching my eyebrows. "Lani, I know you." He replied. "So,what did she do?" Ki asked grabbing my hand leading me off the porch onto the wet grass.
