Watch It Kid - Chap. 2-

Having picked your starter Pokemon, you walk into the new route with your Poke Balls in hand, confidently strolling through the tall grass. Of course, this was your first time entering such "dangerous" territory. Wild pokemon, wild trainers. We all love a battle.

After a few minutes of catching some wild pokemon and battling annoying trainers, you take a break.

"Jeez this is more difficult than I expected," you mutter to yourself.

You get up from where you were taking a break, and begin to turn around to walk home to rest. 

That was until you bumped into a strange, tall man.

"Whoa, watch it kid, before I knock you out," the man said, irritated.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I just had a long day training-" you started.

"Do you know who I am, exactly?" The man interrupted.

"N-no, I'm actually new here..." You say, looking down at the ground nervously.

'Crap, is he like famous or something??'

"Listen kid, the name's Guzma. You get in my way again, I'll have to mess you up. Got it?" Guzma said, glaring through his ice cold eyes.

"Sorry Guzma... sir... This won't happen again."

"Good (insert gender)," Guzma purred, with a smirk in his voice.

After Guzma was a bit far away, you couldn't help but gaze at him. Sure he was a bit threatening, but something about it made your thoughts blurry.

'I wonder who he is really...'  You thought, dusting yourself off and heading home.

When you got home, you couldn't help but let your mind wander, and consciousness trail off every now and then, thinking about that strange man. But you couldn't quite point your finger at who he was. His aura seemed... villainous. Perhaps that was just a first impression? You couldn't quite tell after meeting him once.

 But when would you get another opportunity to meet that man again?

You thought it wouldn't be for a long time.

But boy, were you wrong.

About a few weeks later, you went to Akala Island to challenge Acerola, since you already finished challenging Sophocles.   

And to your surprise, you run into him as you were well on your way to train your pokémon. These coincidences were starting happen a lot since you met him.

"G-Guzma?"

"Oh it's you, didn't think I'd see you here," Guzma scoffed.

"Well I'm actually here to challenge Acerola... Actually right now I'm training," you say, and some part of you was nervous and you weren't sure why.

"Training, huh? How about I test how strong you are, and I'll be able to see what ya need to work on?"

Something about the way he said it started to make your thoughts wander, but why about him?

"If you insist..."

You were determined to win, because you needed to complete this challenge. If you weren't strong, how would you be able to finish it? You definitely strived to be champion one day, so doing your best was a must.

You and Guzma battled it out for a bit, and finally it came down to both of your last pokémon.

"Go, (2nd evolution starter you picked)!

"Get 'em Golisopod," Guzma says, and you could've sworn you heard a smirk in his voice.. Should you be nervous? Why did he seem confident?

What was he thinking? Maybe you were just overthinking things.

"Listen kid, in a battle if you lose, there are consequences. To teach you that, I'll have to show you what that's like if you lose."

"I already know what happens, what else could there possibly be?" You say, puzzled and slightly worried.

"You're see."

As a man of his word, he beat your last pokémon with the ease. Perhaps you really need to train all your pokémon a lot better.

"Looks like you lost, pay up," Guzma said.

"Wait why do I have to pay you, you wanted to train me, not seriously battle," you say, realizing he was trying to get money out of you, and that he didn't care about actually training you.

"Oh I wanted to train you, And you're gonna give me a better form of payment."

"What's that supposed to mean...?"

As much as you tried to hide the thoughts in back of your mind, they continued to swirl around your head, almost as if your predictions were correct about him.
