The next morning Jeremy was walking to the high school with a pep in his step. His confidence was high and he was determined to get what he wants. He didn't care that he just met Rosemary that night. He was going to ask her to the Fall Dance. Jeremy spotted her frizzy, white hair and small figure again. Hurrying to get to her, he stuttered to a spot when he saw who she was with.
The guy was tall and slim. He had pin straight, black hair that swooped over his forehead and choppy at the sides of his face. Rosemary was talking to Ricky Coady. Jeremy rolled his eyes at Ricky's goofy smile. He cringed at his saggy pants and band tee shirt. He felt sick the way Ricky looked at her. He was staring at his girl like a wolf.
Rosemary covered her mouth with her sleeve and laughed. Jeremy could tell that she was blushing at the way she was looking at the ground. She just said yes to go to the dance. He hugged her by the waist and lifted her up since she's so short. He put her down and they walked into the school hand in hand. Air came out of Jeremy's nose, making his nostrils flare. He growled and punched the tree that he was hiding behind. Rage rushed through out his body and to his head. His temples ached with anger. That was supposed to be his girl. He was supposed to take Rosemary to the dance. Jeremy punched the tree a few more times, and his knuckles stung and started to bleed. He pulled the hems of his sleeves over hands so no one will see. He couldn't stop shaking. Red blurred his sight. A greater evil started to rise out of his throat that he couldn't control. Growling he stomped back to his car and drove home.
"Looks like I'm going to have to change up the script a bit." Jeremy muttered to himself.
