The guards left us in my lab, the man behind the glass with me on the other side. I examined him, it looked like he had been here awhile. He had scars running up and down his arms, most likely from our "amazingly friendly" staff. That might help explain why his transformation was so far ahead. "Welcome to the lab. Would you be kind enough to tell me your name?" I asked in an attempt to make some form of conversation. A snarl and a swish of clothes answered me as he stalked to the corner and tried to hide in his blue gown. "Well, isn't he just a charmer." I thought as I sighed, putting my hand on the glass that divided us.

I thought for a moment, unsure of how to properly approach the situation. Finally settling on it, I quietly said, "I won't hurt you. Not really. I will have to pretend, and you will have to play along, but I will do my best to help you." He looked to me suspiciously, staring me down with startlingly neon blue eyes. "I assume you'll want proof, huh?" He nodded, almost cautiously. I know he doesn't trust me, but for any of this to work I need him to at least believe me. He turned to face me more, and I could see him a bit clearer. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but still horrendous to see.

He gestured with his claws, as if saying, "Well?" I nodded and reached under my desk to press a button that was previously hacked to loop the camera feed. "I'm going to remove my mask. " I warned him. His eyes shot up in surprise. I can understand why. Anyone found without a mask that isn't specifically allowed clearance is punished harshly, even killed depending. Masks hide scars, and scars reveal who you are here. I reached behind my head and untied the straps, letting the scorpion themed object fall to the desk.
