I really apologize if this sucks but this is my first ever one shot. It's a reader one shot so feel free to enjoy.
Y/N is Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff's daughter.

Okay, so listen. If going to highschool is stressful for every parent, then you should really consider how they feel in the beginning, when their childrens start preschool.

And it was no different here. You wake up one morning, wake up your kid, do all the things before going to the hospital, and then when you finally go, something stops you.

"D-dad?" - asked a kid
"Yes honey?"
"I-Is it gonna be painful? The physical examination?"

Hmm. What to tell a 5 year old kid starting preschool now? This bothers all the parents, and it also bothered Bruce. His little daughter was just 5 years old. Not just that it was stressful for him, but it was also stressful for her. Look, Y/N is 5. She's a Banner, and she's stuck with the Avengers. For some, that would be a dream come true, for her, it was a life she desperately wanted to escape even tho she was just a kid.

The world changed. A lot of things changed.  Yes, the Avengers avenged the fallen, restored people back on earth, and everything was great. Yes. But is it really as great as it sounds? The answer is no. At least for those kids who live with only one parent. Y/N was 5 and she was pretty aware of what was going on. Because just a few months ago, she lost her mother. And Bruce knew it would be difficult raising a kid on your own. Natasha gave all the help she could. She was always around even when she was not, she assisted Bruce and gave him advices on how to treat or not stand in Y/N's way, on how to prepare milk when she was away, or how to cook. She was all around a wife, a mother and a best friend. In other cases, it would've probably be Tony helping up as much as he could. When Natasha was on the mission, Tony would always bring Morgan with him so that Y/N would have who to play with. But the reality hits hard. Tony saved the world, yes,
but he sacrificed himself for that. And so, without Tony or Natasha around,
what was he supposed to do? The only person who knew how hard it was for him was Clint. Because Clint has gone through the same thing. Not long after the birth of his 4th child, Laura died. She was ill and she barely could've handle even the smallest and weakest finger hit. And so, Dean, Clint's 4th child, grew up without a mother.

A car drive was silent. Neither Bruce or Y/N have said anything after that question. He did explain her that it won't be scary, but he knew it will. The first stop was the psychologist office. There, they were checking the spelling and behaving abilities of kids. She passed that perfectly. It was probably due to Natasha's mannerism. Okay one down, a couple more to go. The next stop was the otorinolaringology. There, they checked the hearing, throat and nose abilities of the kids. And with no surprise honestly, she passed that perfectly as well. After that was the oftamology, where they checked how good the kids can see. She sort of passed that, mainly due to the fact that she got glasses when she was only 2 years old. Basically, she had a fever and that sort of caused her to wear glasses. Her glasses were brown and had some kind of roses pattern on them, but were the same shape as Bruce's.

And then came the scariest part for every kid, which also scares the parents. The blood test. Y/N was sitting patiently in the chair. Bruce was looking at her from the opposite wall. She was smiling, yeah, but was she hiding her fear behind that smile? Bruce was wondering. He came down and caressed her hair.

-"Baby, if you're scared, we don't have to do this, okay?" - he looked at his daughter's eyes as she blushed.
-"But I'm not scared daddy. I'll be fine" - she smiled and Bruce recognized Natasha's smile in hers. Gosh, she looked more like Natasha than she ever has. He looked down for a second. He missed her so much. His daughter put her hands on his cheeks and he looked up at her:
-"You miss mommy, right?" - she smiled.
-"Yeah..." - he sighed and looked down
-"I miss mommy too" - she replied - "And sometimes I like to look at the picture of the three of us in my room. But we have to be strong daddy. Mommy always said that we have to stay strong. I'm not quite sure why, but we have to. We have each other" - she smiled even wider now and then put her head down as she blush from what she thought was an embarrassment and pouted. Bruce smiled on his daughter's cuteness and put his right hand on hers on his cheek. He smiled back to her.

"Y/N Banner?" - the nurse called. Bruce looked at his daughter "Are you gonna be okay, my little monkey?" She nodded. He got up and she took him for his hand as they both got into the room. "Okay, I need you to sit in this chair" the nurse said while smiling politely to Y/N "Now remember, it's only gonna take a second, so imagine it as if it was the mosquito biting you." - she nodded and looked up at her dad. "Are you gonna hold my hand daddy?" - Bruce smiled. "Always baby girl". The nurse took the needle, found a vain, and put it there as she stopped to say "Look, if it hurts you are free to scream, shout or cry, got it? Also, it's better if you look away, but you can look here as well if you want" she nodded and the nurse slightly stabbed Y/N's vain. It hurt for a second, but Bruce held his daughter's hand tightly. She closed her eyes for a second, imagining her mother in that room as well, but because of curiosity she opened them and looked at what the woman was doing. She smiled and so did Bruce.

"Woohoo" - Dean said - "We are ready for preschool now yeiiii" - he shouted as he was coming out of the hospital. Everyone was chatting with each other while going to the car. Y/N was looking down. She pulled Bruce for the back of his jacket and he stopped. He kneeled down. "Daddy,I'm scared. What if I don't have friends in preschool?" she said as she teared up a little bit "Princess, don't worry, you have Morgan and Dean with you. You have all the others as well. Besides, you're going to meet new people and make great friends with them I promise. I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with someone so charming, humble, good and cute as you are?" - Bruce comforted her. She looked up at him and smiled. She knew this whole new world was gonna be scary but she will get through it. She is strong.

I'm sorry if this sucks.I hope you enjoyed.: )
