The two girls simply walked along the road, both clad in black dresses.

The second, falling behind, stared at the deed as her eyes watered again. At the very top of the deed was a note, where a paperclip held it safe. On this note were the scrawled words:

To my darling Valerie,

I leave this note to you in the event that I cannot give it to you myself. This manor, our home, I entrust to you, for I know you will take good care of it. Do what you will, but I want you to know I love you with all of my heart, and that I hope you keep your sister close to you after I am gone, although I know that she will never accept that I have left this place under your care alone, along with all of it's assets and land.

-Father

She looked up, and muttered something to her sister, who nodded. They went along a few more streets, before knocking on a door.

A man with curly black hair, and his hands covered with paint answered and smiled, letting the girls into his home.

"Hello Daniel." The young adult replied, holding the deed close to her.
