This is the secret Santa story exchange made by @MasterofCupcakes. Request by @TheOniSan. I'm sorry that I'm so late. I've had to juggle between school and family in the past few weeks. I'm so sorry if something here is inaccurate to the show. I've hadn't had the time to rewatch Ninjago again, so most of this goes off my cloggy memory. I also don't know a lot about Christmas (because I don't celebrate it myself) and of that reason, I'm sorry about any inaccuracies. Everybody celebrates Christmas differently, and I have no idea how to do it honestly. Of that reason, this story takes place on Christmas day December 25th. I feel bad for showing up almost a month over the original deadline, but there was not much I could do about my schedule. Well, I'm here now, and I do not plan to leave until the end of this oneshot. Hope you enjoy!

Kai was leaning against the bus window. The fog from his warm breath started to form on the window. It was right after the defeat of someone called "Nadakhan" according to Nya, and he was on his way to the newly founded annual Christmas family gathering. His parents specifically said "No elements!", which was how he ended up in this bus in the first place. They wanted to keep it like old times, he understood that. But the humpy way was killing his butt. Only if he could replace the old bus with the fresh winds from upon his dragon.

Laying fast asleep on his shoulder was his girlfriend Skylor. The girlfriend he yet had to reveal to his parents. When they first got together he was planning to tell them, but when he heard what happened to Jay, he kinda was a bit afraid for Skylor's fate, more or less for his.

The bus came to a sudden halt as he and Skylor were thrown towards the seat in front of them. They were here. Kai could never get used to these trips. Busses just made him wanna throw up.

"Come on, let's get out". I said while I was standing upright. I raised my hand towards hers. Skylor took my hand looking quite sleepy and stood up.  I remembered in the last second to grab my bags and Christmas presents.

While dragging Skylor out of the bus and meeting half-asleep Nya and Jay at the end of the bus Kai felt more awake. It was Christmas today! Man, he had missed those presents. Kai showed a visible smile at the thought of Christmas with his parents and Nya again. As they got out of the bus Kai couldn't help but feel more alive than ever.

"Wait, what way are we going again?" Jay asked.

"It's just down the road" Nya answered between yawns.

"Oh fudge, I have to meet your parents again huh?" Jay replied a grimace.

"It'll be fine. Plus, it's worse for Kai and Skylor" Nya said with a sympathetic look.

"Yeah, don't remind me about that," I said and shook my head.  "Anyways, are we gonna get going, or are we just gonna stand here worrying about our parents. I mean, I don't know about you, but I came here to run AWAY from stress."

After a 15-minute walk, we could find ourselves in front of me and Nya's childhood home. The wood was freshly painted, and the fresh breeze swayed back and forth.

"Man, I've missed this place," I remarked.

"Me too," Nya said.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Jay said and started running forward with Nya behind him.

I grabbed Skylor's hand and started running for the door. When Jay finally arrived in front of the door, he got knocked out by my dad opening it. While Jay was on the ground cursing his head off my dad stood there clearly shook.

"And that's why I'm never in the front," Skylor remarked.

My dad raised his hand towards Jay and held him in a firm grip as he got up.
