"Life was never to my liking, there was something about it, in the way others lived it that hurt me, it generated me anguish and anger. All my life I tried to change it, to change society, from philosophy and ethics, but nobody wanted to understand, nobody is interested in those things this days, critical thinking has been forgotten and in the same way, I will also be forgotten... "
A lightning bolt lit the sky, forcing Misty to look away at the window. The rain was violent and hitting the glass without any rest. The loneliness in that dark room, made Misty remember where she was. The move had been only two days ago and while cleaning the attic, she found some old notebooks with strange manuscripts that were not signed or dedicated. She did not know if they were from a former owner, but what she knew whitout any douts is that the writer did not expect others to read his texts, he wrote to his own conscience, which to a certain extent gave her a terrifying touch when she read it.
"Life has not been good and society has been even worse. People are the virus that causes my death and only through it can I escape this hell. Happiness is a term unknown to me, but I'm tired of looking for it in people I hate. Like my life coulded not be my legacy, my death will be it."
Once again she looked away from the notebook, but on this occasion it was not a lightning that caught his attention. Constance, her daughter shouted full of terror; something was happening down stairs.
Misty went down as fast as she could just to find her daughter lying on the floor with her eyes lost and with no signs of life. Behind her, a human figure stood, dark, in silence, smiling, showing his happiness in full bloom. She was paralyzed by the situation and could not move a muscle, but by the time she regained control of her body, she could hear a sound as ephemeral like clear: "Legacy" and the dark figure was responsible for accomplish his promise once again. Misty's blood stained the last page of the notebook, which only said one sentence.
"My death will be my new life"
