Fernando smiled as he spotted his parents walking through Andorra international airport, he had missed them and he was glad that they had been able to come; things had changed so much since he had last seen them.
Flori Torres Sanz hurried towards her youngest son, she had missed him so much while he had been away and she was thrilled to be invited to Andorra.
“Hola madre,” Fernando said hugging her, he had missed her so much and he hoped that she would be able to visit more often; he held her close for a moment before he stepped back from her.
José Torres smiled at his son, he wasn’t sure how he felt about the changes in Fernando’s life but he was happy for his son none the less.
“Padre,” Fernando said nodding his head, he didn’t want to hang around the airport since he was sure that people recognised him as Vanessa’s fiancé; he wanted to do this as privately as possible.
Flori pushed her glasses up her nose, she had worried that they wouldn’t see Fernando until Christmas; he was bound to be busy with lessons on how to behave since he was marrying a royal.
“Shall we head home?” Fernando said smiling, he was sure that his parents wanted to rest and he wanted to be home to make sure that Vanessa’s meeting with her father went well.
Flori nodded her head, she had no idea what to expect from this visit and she was hopeful that they would be welcomed; she didn’t know what to think of her son becoming a prince and later a king when he married Vanessa.
“How is Vanessa?” José asked when they started to walk out of the airport, he wasn’t surprised that she hadn’t come to the airport but he wished to know what to expect; his youngest son had certainly out done his older siblings with finding a spouse that would one day be Queen.

“Vanessa it’s wonderful to see you again,” Flori gushed as she hurried over to the brunette that had made her son so happy; she was a little excited about being in the house of royalty.
Vanessa smiled hugging Flori, she had been a little nervous about seeing Fernando’s parents again; she was sure that this situation was going to be strange for all of them.
“I’m sorry that I’m late… my meeting over ran,” Vanessa said with a smile, she hadn’t expected things to overrun but it had been an important meeting with her father about the wedding.
Fernando looked at his fiancée, he was hopeful that things had gone well especially now a date had been set for the wedding; he was a little uneasy about not being able to go with her.
“How was it?” Fernando asked knowing that it was related to security and other things for the big day, he nibbled on his lip wishing that he knew more to help her.
Normal wedding details were fine and now that they had selected a location and date for the wedding, Fernando hoped to be more involved with the planning of their big day.
“Fine,” Vanessa said with a secretive smile, there were things that she couldn’t discuss with Fernando about her meeting with her father; it was down to titles and she was sure that things would be worked out before the wedding.
Fernando raised an eyebrow at her as they moved into the living room so that they could talk; he had a feeling that she would tell him when she could, he just hoped it wasn’t anything bad.
“How is wedding planning going?” José asked looking at the couple, he was sure that they had made some progress since he doubted the wedding would take place soon before the baby was born.
“We actually set a date and we have chosen our venue,” Fernando said proudly, he hadn’t told his parents over the phone and he was sure that they would be thrilled with the news of when he would be finally getting married.
Flori perked up and stared at her son, she had been hoping for some news and to hear that they had chosen their venue made her even more excited.
“We are getting married on the 26th of June at Windsor Abbey,” Fernando said pleased that they at least had that sorted, everything else would slow come into place and he was glad that they had some decisions to make for themselves.
Flori nodded her head, she wasn’t sure what to make of the venue since she wasn’t familiar with the abbey but the date sounded lovely; she liked the idea of a summer wedding.
Vanessa moved to get the brochure so that Flori and José could see where Fernando and her would be getting married; she handed it over sure that they would like the location.
“It looks lovely,” Flori said not really sure what to say, it was a large location but she didn’t doubt that they could fill it; it wouldn’t just be family and friends at the wedding but dignitaries and officials from other countries.
José nodded his head in agreement, he wasn’t sure what would happen when Fernando got married but he did have a couple of questions; he looked at Vanessa as she sat down next to his son.
“How will Fernando be addressed after the wedding?” José asked wanting to know how he would have to talk to his son after the wedding; he had questions and he was sure Vanessa would be able to answer them.
Fernando fidgeted, he had been wondering about that as well and he had been meaning to ask since it wasn’t down to Vanessa but her father.
“You’d still address him the way you do now… in public he’ll be known as HRH Prince Vanessa of Andorra unless I’m granted more titles,” Vanessa explained as best as she could, she smiled a little doubting that her father wouldn’t grant her more titles.
Flori and José nodded, they weren’t sure how they felt about their son becoming a royal but he looked so happy right now and they weren’t going to ruin this for him; they just hoped that he knew what he was doing.
“Titles?” Flori asked curiously, she was a little knew at this and she was glad that Vanessa was taking the time to explain to them; she had always liked Vanessa and that wasn’t going to change now.
Fernando laced his fingers with Vanessa’s, he hoped that his parents would be okay with all of this; he could see how tense they were and he hoped to ease their minds.
“Like Duchess, Countess…” Vanessa said peeking at Fernando, she smiled a little at him sure that this would all be okay; they were stronger than any problem that they could face.
Flori nodded her head, she sipped on her coffee and looked at José; she had no idea how she would ever get used to the fact that Vanessa was a princess.
“And what about Nora?” José asked thinking of his granddaughter, he worried how she would take the arrival of her half-sibling; he doubted that it would make the separation between her and Fernando any easier.
“Since she isn’t my daughter, she can’t become princess but I’m working on something,” Vanessa said carefully, she knew that it wouldn’t be easy and it was taking a lot of work to get her father to agree on this factor.
Fernando nodded his head, he was glad that Vanessa was trying even if it wasn’t much; he would have to think of some way to explain to Nora that she wouldn’t have an official royal title if George didn’t agree.
