"Hey Irene! Wake up. You haven't pay your rent here for a month!" I woke up hearing those yells from the lady named Susan.
"Susan, by next week I'm going to pay my rent as soon as possible." I assured her. She gave me a look.
"You should!" She said before leaving me out in the apartment. I stretched out my body. I feel so tired. I badly want to sleep more. But I have classes, I can't miss it.
So I did my daily routine. Eat my breakfast, I brushed my teeth, took a shower, wear my uniforms and then go to school. The owner of the apartment I am living in is Susan. She kept asking me to pay for the bill this month. But sadly, I don't have any money yet in my pocket to pay her. I need to ask my aunt for it.
I am actually a working student. And I work at the small store which my aunt owns. And she pays me every week that cost for 380. I didn't complain at all. Actually, I'm very thankful that she gave me that opportunity. Because I use that money for my daily needs. Now I'm gonna go to the store to borrow her some money.
"Please aunt? I need it next week. You can decrease my salary for the next month." I said in exchange.
"Okay. But I'll give you the money in weekends." she said. I smiled and almost jump in excitement. I thanked her sincerely and with gratitude.
Because I've known aunt since I was a kid. She's so strict and known for being vain. Her attitude is kinda bad for always blowing up to someone even if that someone doesn't do anything to her. And I feel so lucky today. I think she's in the mood now that's why she let me borrow her money for some reason.
I go to school with a smile flashed in my lips. I don't have to worry anymore for the profit. Back then, I was planning to have a part time job aside from working at the small store of my aunt. Because I feel like the salary I am getting isn't enough for me. It is because of my bill payment related. And for the basic needs coz those are important to me.
"Hey, you look happy right now. What's up?" I saw Seulgi approached me in the hallway. And she walked with me.
"Just happy because I can pay Susan for my rent." I said.
"You know what? That's so shallow of you! The bill for your rent is your big problem? It's not like it's the end of you. Many girls are thinking for their new outfit to wear, which place should they go for a vacation, and which brand for a makeup is better!" she pointed out.
I get it why she's saying that coz unlike me, Seulgi is born in a rich family. Her dad owns a business in our country while her mom is a doctor in a private hospital. And her parents are both international so the word money in her vocabulary means nothing to her. It's something that she had and will forever have.
"I already told you many times that you can share a room with me in my home. So you could've live in a better place. That's why I don't really go in your apartment coz it's way too small for me!" she said in a finicky way.
"I don't want to owe you something. I mean, that's too much. I don't want to depend myself to someone forever. I don't want to get used to it." I explained. She nodded and just shrugged her shoulders.
"But really, in all seriousness just call me when you need something. I'm willing to help." she sincerely said.
"Thank you!" she patted my shoulder and held my right hand for us to walk together.
And as we go alongside the playground we saw the guy who's the captain of the football varsity, who has numerous of fans in our campus and known to be the number one teen king of bullying. No other than Kim Taehyung. And is also known for the name V. The school's king of sullen and a beast because of his bad attitude. He's every girl's dream and every student's nightmare at the same time.
