I felt tears stream down my face, the salty taste going to my mouth. Holly was pale, and she wasn't moving in the slightest. There were little kids who were confused on why Holly was 'napping' on the floor, and others leading them away. Sam came over to me and just hugged me, not wanting to let go. And I let him do it, I mean, I needed the comfort. I knew it was going to happen.. but it just felt to soon...
Later on, Holly was taken out of the orphanage to be prepared for her funeral in the next two days. In those two days, the orphanage was a wreck. Miss couldn't teach us properly, and would end up dismissing us after a hour or so of just sitting there. I had lost my appetite, and couldn't focus on alot of things. So, most of the day, I would just read inside by the window, or do my chores.
Sam wasn't very Sam eiether. I rarely saw him smile anymore, or even wave at me. And Issak- well he was just his usual self. Only a little more down. I didnt think that losing someone you've known so long would feel this painful.
Of course, it will take time to heal,
And move on.

It wasn't a very long funeral, just some sorrow farewells, speeches, and watching her be buried into the ground. Afterwards, we all just went back to the orphanage and ate dinner in silence.
The orphanage was silent, as people were eiether doing chores or homework. Nobody was really active today. I didnt expect them to be anyway. I decided that I wanted to walk into town to get things off my mind. I doubt miss would care anyway. I mean I could care less if she did.
I pull on my sneakers, and hang my coat on since it was slightly cloudy, and most likely going to rain. I then open one of the huge windows at the far end of the girls dorm, and hop onto the roof. Being careful not to slip from the slippery metal tiles. I silently close the window, and then jump down onto the bush.
Ow.
Okay, Its been a while since I've actually been this rebellious and snuck out. Guess I'm not as good as I used to be.
I dust off my coat, and decide I would take the shortcut through the forest.

It was slightly muddy from the rain the other day, but it was still very peaceful as I remember it. Sometimes it's quite nice to take a walk through the forest. To take your mind off of things.
As I was approaching town, I heard a voice coming from somewhere close to where I was, and stopped immediately. I decided it wasn't that big of a deal, and decided to move onward. That was until I saw something out of the corner of my eye.
A guy, talking to a rock. Hm. Cant say it's nothing new, but I wanted to see what he was doing. I squat down behind a tree and listen to what hes saying. I noticed his clothes were pretty worn out, and that he looked to be pretty dirty too.
"Why am I still single, Rock? Girls should be all over me by now," the guy whined, complaing about his (non existent) love life to the rock. I snickered, and rolled my eyes. This guy is pretty pathetic.
He looked pretty young, maybe 2 years older then me or so. His red hair being the only thing that stood out. I decided to try and start a nice conversation. Maybe introduce myself.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked, stepping out of my hiding spot.
He jumped a bit, and then got up quickly.
" I- Just chilling," he chuckled nervously, dusting off his overalls, " Who are you?"" Coda, you?" I asked, picking up the rock he was talking to.
"Oscar. " He said, " but you can call me your future boyfriend," he said winking.
"That's the best you got?" I said, throwing the rock into a creek.
" Hey! That was my best line.."
I snickered.
