I can't believe we've gotten to the trains safely, I can see John running towards them and I can't help but smile.
I was about climbing into one of the crates when I noticed Arianna, my twin sister, still far behind.
"Arianna" I heard Abel shout out, but it was as if it caused her to stop instead of moving, standing by the trees.
"I'm going to get her."
I heard someone say something, but didn't care to know what was said.
"Ari, what's wrong, the train is about leaving, we need to go."
"I can't."
"What, why not?"
I asked, staring at her with worried eyes.
"Ari why not?"
"I.. I.. was bitten."
"No, no Ari that's a lie it can't be."
I said while searching her body for any teeth marks.
"Ari this is a joke and it's.."
"Bri look."
She said showing me her forearm .
I wondered why I didn't see it at first, maybe it's because my eyes were filled with tears.
"How, why didn't you tell me Ari."
"I couldn't, I know you won't leave me if I told you."
"Who's gonna do it?"
"I will."
"No way, Ari am not letting you kill yourself.."
I held her so we could sit on the grass.
"..remember that time when we were little, you said if any of us got bitten, the other will kill em since we're each other's half."
She gave me a small smile.
"We're just twelve Brianna."
"Does it even matter what age we are..?"
"..no suicide remember?"
"Yeah, no suicide."
"Say hi to mom and dad for me."
We talked about our childhood till she stopped breathing and when I saw her coming back to life, with the heaviest heart that beats too fast, I shot my sister in the head while giving out a loud cry.
I stayed by her grave for a while and moved back into the trees, the train was gone and won't be back for the next couple of years, I'd be alone with the nightmares of everyone I loved and how they died.
