It was dark,the whole world felt like it had stoped.  The autumn leaves filled the streets but so did loss and grief....
My name is Asmara Gilbert and I am the forgotten twin....
It was a cold spring night in mystic falls when tragedy struck a car drove off of the old Wickery bridge where Elena had snuck out to attend a party which changed both ours and our brothers life forever....
"Elena you are so grounded when we get home" mom said as she sat disappointed in the front seat whilst dad drove
"Also Amara your grounded as well" she said
Wait the frick did I do ?!
"WHY!" I shouted
"Because your failing in school which isn't helping Elena reputation either!" Her face cold like her eyes
As we began to come onto the wickery bridge my dad lost control of the car due to the ice and we crashed into the water
"dad" I cried as I tried to keep my breath
"I love you both" he said who knew they were the last words I would ever hear him say as the car began to submerge it was getting harder to breath and before I knew it I saw my sister passed out I tried to help but I was slowly loosing consciousness the last thing I saw was a man with dark brown hair helping us out... after that I woke in a hospital bed the doctors said it was a miracle that we survived because they had no idea how we got out but I did... no one else's knows about how we got out except for me....
*beep beep beep*
As I woke up I realised it was the first day back great I thought to myself as I rolled out of bed so see my sister Elena was already up and ready.
You see I'm nothing like Elena I'm quieter, smarter and less of a drama queen, but after mom and dad died I wasn't the same I became depressed and reclusive from others mainly from my then boyfriend Tyler who was nice at first but he became a douche towards the end day stuff like 'your so moody all the time' and 'your just a whore' which hit home for me.... I haven't spoken to him in over 3 months and I was dreading going back to school..
"Amara hurry up we're going to be late!" Elena shouted up the stairs
"I'm almost done!" I shouted back hopefully today will go good
I walked down to the kitchen to see my family aunt Jenna, Jeremy and Elena
"Morning guys" I said in a more cheerful voice
"Your happy this morning" Jenna said confused
"Yeah normally you say hello then leave?"
Jeremy pitches in
"Byyyye" I said and ran out
As I got out I saw miss bonnie Bennett
"Well hello miss Bennett what brings you round?" I questioned only she knew my cocky side because she's basically my best friend
"Waiting for you bestie" she answered and I just laughed and climbed in
"Sooooo hows your grams is she still trying to convince you your a witch"
I asked
See Bonnies family is from a long line of Salem witches and her grams is trying to tell her she's one too
"She's still telling me I am and that I have to unlock the powers first or whatever that means" she laughed but as she did a crow hit the car window which made her swerve as we did I saw the bridge in my mind and began to panic
As we stopped I began to calm down
"Amara are you ok!" Bonnies voice going into panic
"Yeah I can't stay scared of cats forever can I

As we reached the school I noticed a small shock go through my mind as if something was going to happen?
"Hey Amara look at him" bonnie pointed to a new guy who looked familiar as I looked I also saw Jeremy go into the toilet
I marched right over to him
"What the hell Jer it's the first day!" He was stoned on the first day
"Whoa calm down!" Jer looked at me as if I'm in the wrong
As he finished I saw Elena March in aswell
"Told you he'd be stoned, so where's my $10?" Elena asked
I know it's wrong but we made a bet and I lost
I reached and handed her the money
"Your getting enjoyment out off my misery isn't that great best sisters you two are!" Jeremy ran out pissed
"Jer come ba-" I was cut off by bumping into a guy
"Kathrine?" He asked
"No I'm Amara"
Just then Elena walked out
"Kathrine?" He asked again
"Hi no I'm Elena, Amara twin sister.."
"Oh I'm sorry you look so similar... anyways hi I'm Stefan" he gave us a smile Elena blushed I was still confused where I had seen him before

Lunch was ok but there I saw Tyler he came up to me all smug
"Hey princess missed me"
"Leave me alone Tyler we aren't together anymore..." I tried to walk away he grabbed my wrist
"We're done when I say we are ok" before he could do anything Stefan appeared
"She said leave her alone"
"Who are you her new boyfriend?!" His eyes were filled with rage
"No but she clearly doesn't wanna be around you so I'd kindly release her or else" as I looked at Tyler his eyes showed fear as he backed off
"Thank you Stefan" I smiled weakly
"What was he trying to do?" He asked
"He's my ex who is possessive and has issues with anger..."
As the bell went I decided to skip and go home but as I got home I was still wondering how I know him and why he looked so familiar to me also who's Kathrine?
