The New Kid Part 1

(Y/N's P.O.V):

2 months before graduation, and still no sign of any college acceptance letters...I'm starting to lose all faith in even getting accepted into anything.  Am I really going to not go to the college of my dreams??? Well, UCLA is not Harvard, but it's still a really great college and I've been working for this my WHOLE LIFE!!! I might as well go to clown col-

A text from my best friend Felix...

Felix: Heyyyooo Y/N, I'm outside, HURRY BEFORE WE'RE LATE

Y/N: AAAAHHHH i'll be down right now

I hurry downstairs grabbing a poptart from the box of them I usually keep at the corner of the counter, by now my mom has left for work so I turn the security alarm on and walk out the door.

"Wowzers Y/N, you're looking beautiful as always" Felix says as I get into his shiny new black car. "Oh please Lixie you're only saying that because you're my best friend" I say rolling my eyes. "Fine what do you want me to say? That you look like Shrek???", I gasp.."I-".  He pats me on the head, smirks, and says "because that would be lying, and I'm sorry mate, but that would be a sin".  I pick his hand up off of my head and put it on the steering wheel, "DRIVE" I say, and with that we head off to school listening to whatever the heck was on Felix's radio.  

School: (Y/N's P.O.V):

As we arrive at school I tell Felix bye and walk to class as fast as I can. Felix goes the other way since his class is literally at the far end of the school, meanwhile mine is at the front, well... kind of. I sit down just as the bell rings and Mr. Lykes starts his usual morning speech. "Good Morning Seniors, I hope your morning was a fantastic one, Today we have a few things to go over, like proje-" Mr. Lykes looks over at the door, "Well Hello there young man" he says. I turn my head towards the door to see a tall, handsome boy with black hair, he was dressed like an e-boy, and all I was able to do at that moment was stare. 

"Well, How can I help you?" Mr. Lykes says, a little loud, so his voice startled me, making me realize that I was staring at the new boy for too long. 

"Hyunjin is my name sir" the boy says. 

Ah, so Hyunjin is his name, I quickly write down his name in the palm of my hand with a black pen.  Mr. Lykes then tells Hyunjin to pick any empty seat in the classroom. There's one next to me, and one next to OH NO, MeGaN!! As he starts walking to the seats, I cross my fingers and pray he sits next to me, he is a cute boy after all;). 

As I'm looking down with my eyes closed, praying, I feel someone get really close. "Is this seat taken cutie?", someone whispers in my ear. His whisper made my knees weak, but I slowly turn my head up and open my eyes. I see him smirk as I say no very timid like.  He sits down and I turn to face the front of the class. 

"As I was saying class, we will be having a project due at the end of next week, you will have to work with the person sitting next to you. The project will be about a problem in the world, and your jobs will be to find a way to fix that problem" Mr. Lykes finishes his announcements and lets the class start working. I turn to face Hyunjin. 

"So looks like were partners" he says with the same smirk as before. "Yes, I suppose we are", "Well for starters, I'm sure you know, I'm Hyunjin, and who might you be beautiful?" B-B-Beautiful, Did this cute guy just call ME, BEAUTIFUL?! I try not to smile, and answer "(Y/N)". "Cute name for a cute girl" he says

Since it was the first day of the project, all we had to do was research problems in the world, so there wasn't much talking going on between Hyunjin and I.

Finally after about an hour of researching, the bell rings, I basically run out of class to tell Felix about the new guy. 

"Hey Y/N, why so happy all of a sudden?? Hmmm? Did you pass a pop quiz or something?" 

I show him my palm, putting my hand extremely close to his face. "ummmm what does it say?" Felix says pushing my hand out of his face. "Hyunjin, it says Hyunjin". "Hyunjin, what's a Hyunjin?".  I wave my hand and say, "WELL, there's a really cute new guy in my first period, and his name is Hyunjin, and we're partners, and I may or may not be interested in him".  Felix just rolls his eyes, and puts his arm around me and says "Oh wow Y/N, there is no time for other boys in your life but me right now, anyways, let's get going to second period".  And we walked off to second period, Art.  Wow, sometimes I think Felix is in love with me or something...
