The time was 11:43 in the morning when I woke up. As I began to sit up on the cold floor, a searing pain shot through my head and I laid back down again. When I woke up again it wasn't on my own terms this time. I heard my mom yelling at me to get up. She was furious, seeing as how I was only 19.
"Daniel Harrison Jones! I can not believe you would do this!" Her veins on the side of her neck were visibly throbbing, just like my head. Her yells weren't her normal yells right now, they were more like a rapid fire of sonic booms coming from her mouth. My mother, when she wasn't mad, looked like a normal mother. Tall, but a bit shorter than me, black with greying hair, and green eyes. Yes she was pissed indeed, no doubt in my mind. But the real question was if she was pissed at me for getting drunk, or something I might have said while I was drunk. Either way it involved the whole me being drunk.
"Mom relax," shit, why would I say that? Now she's going to tell me not just what I did last night, but how this might possibly affect my future. Oh wait how rude of me to not introduce myself. As you already heard my name is Daniel. What you might not have heard is that I have short brown hair, green eyes, I'm also black, and I'm not exactly very fit. Anyways let's get back to where we were.
"Relax, how can I relax when you made a fool of yourself?" I defiantly said something to piss off a very important person, but who was it? "You vomited all over Mr.Cerds!" Shit of all the people I could've puked on. Creds would get pissed at you if you so much as said his name wrong, and I'm not going to tell you how to pronounce it because why not. He was the principle at my High School. Before anybody says anything, yes I'm repeating my senior year of High School at my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. What can I say, I cut too many classes, so I'm stuck repeating the year.
"Oh shit." I said in a regretful tone.
"Language young man!" I didn't t care, she was already pissed, she couldn't get any more pissed off. "There is one way we could make this go away." Great she's going to bang another one member of the school. "We are going to go to his New Years party." December 31st, 1999. We we're able to have had the privalge to at least celebrate New Years one last time.
My mother was somehow able to convince Mr.Crebs to let us come to his New Years party. I was surprised, but then I realized that she probably promised a bit of fun for just them at the party. I'm honestly surprised my mom didn't give up on me years ago. I was susspened my freshmen year for telling Creds to fuck off, susspened again my sophomore and junior year for getting in a fight with another kid, and my senior year for putting a flaming bag of dog shit on Creds's lawn. I was a dick, and the only reason I wasn't expelled from that school was because whenever I got in trouble my mom would hop into bed with Creds. I don't know if this is because she loved me, or loved pissing off my dad. Either way the rest of the night was nothing but silence from her, and I'm glad it was like that.
