Maolisa awoke that morning to find her parents screaming at each other downstairs. Of course they would she thought. She looked around her room to see the boxes of her old junk scattered around the place.

She sighed.

She was moving today and there was no stopping her parents because the decision was final. She had begged them to let her stay with Leah here who was her best friend since almost forever. But they refused. Her mother described the move as a 'wonderful opportunity to start a new life over there' but Maolisa knew that it was because her father had got a promotion and her mother was feeding off of his money to buy herself the designer clothes because the 'new season was coming up for style'.

Maybe the wont notice that im up here. Maybe they'll forget about me. Maybe i could run to Leah's right now she thought and..''Lisa!!!'' Great. 'I'm coming!' she yelled. She groaned and shivered under the covers. It was Autumn. The 1st of October to be exact. And she knew she had been moving for two whole weeks now. They were never enough weeks to say goodbye. Her friends, Leah, Amelia and Justin had gotten her going away presents and she felt so sad when she thought about it.

Although Maoilisa hadn't cried properly in two years since her granny's funeral, a pain still crushed in her chest where her heart was. Her freinds even took her down to Belfast for the day to go shopping and even that didnt cheer her up because she knew she's barely even see them.

Her parents were making her move to a remote village outside Brighton. Maolisa was a small town girl sure but this town was beyond small. It was called Woodvale and the only interesting thing Maolisa found when researching it was that there was a graveyard. That didnt give Maolisa any hope at all.

Maolisa lived in a small town called Dungannon in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. This meant that Maoilisa would have to take the Ferry so she was determined not to speak to her parents that much so they knew how lonely she felt.

She felt her phone on her bedside table as she reached her arm out to get it. Maolisa unlocked it to check her BBM's. Not much just alot of broadcasts about this and that. She sighed once more and got out of bed. It was freezing in her room and she went to close her window. She saw her dad shoving all of their things they needed into the trailer they borrowed from Mrs Mulgrew next door to attacht onto the car.

She picked up her phone again and texted Leah on bbm. Hey, just woke up and we're leaving pretty soon so try and not forget about me and i loved the presents, tell the others too x

She got a reply almost straight away.

I'd never forget about you sweetie and try not let the vampires eat you like they say in all of the english films. Oh and show off your irish because i dropped that class :$ It wont be all bad, we'll talk soon xx

She smiled at her phone and put on You Me At Six-Stay With Me.

While it was playing she picked out her outfit and got changed. It was grey skinny jeans, her black converse and her hoodie from the Gealtacht. Which was the place in Ireland she went in the summer to go and speak irish.

She went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and applied some eyeliner afterwards. The people in England would probably think she was emo and tried to avoid her. Too bad she thought with a smirk. I've been called worse.

She walked over to her wardrobe and took out her old schoolbag. It had a plastic ASDA bag still inside and what she found in it she drank. It was a bottle of Vodka. Wiping her mouth from her sleeve, she put it back and walked downstairs humming to herself.
