chapter 2 : the hospital

Mikenzie's pov

I was crying in the hospital bed . I only had a couple of scratches and cuts but I wasn't paying attention to that . I was more concerned about MaLika . She was in the bed next to mine . Wires and needles covering her body. bandages wrapped around her torso making her look like a mummy and the constant beeping sounds of the heart monitor providing relief by showing she was still alive. A nurse around the age of twenty walked in with a tray of food for me and a change of bandage for MaLika. " Hello sweetie it's good to see your up . I have some food for you ." The nurse said she politely put the food down as she walked out I noticed that her name card is on the back of her outfit ' Madeline I've heard that name somewhere ' . I shrugged the thought off as I heard a groan from MaLika . She must be waking up. " Uggh what happened ? Why am I in the hospital?" MaLika groaned out confirming my suspicion . " Thank God your awake I thought you were never going to wake up ! " I yell excited " owe my head .can you please refrain from yelling?" MaLika asks in a tried voice ." Sorry ." I say embarrassed by my sudden outburst. " I'm sorry to intrude but I over heard you saying MaLika was awake and we need to take her to get a check-up making sure her sight , hearing and other sences are working . " The nurse mumbles out the last bit" Ohh ok ." MaLika says in a quiet voice. I watched as MaLika got placed into a wheelchair and was wheeled out of the room. A couple of minutes later my mom and rileigh walked in concerned looks on there face . " Ohh my God Mikenze are you alright we heard what happened your dad will be up to pick you up in a couple of days sence they want you to stay a couple of days to make sure you don't have any internal bleeding or ptsd . " My mom said as she sat down after talking for allitle while I hear a loud scream from the hallway . The door opened to reveal....
