Light returning from Darkness

Riley's POV:
I woke up at 7:01 am....I still felt completely numb...but I've gotten used to it now...I went to wake up Huey but....he wasn't in bed....I thought he was downstairs....so I went down there and....he wasn't there...I ran back upstairs to go get granddad...I opened his bed room door and ran to his bed and started shaking him awake...."What...what is it boy?"He asked me....I pulled him out of bed and took him to our room and showed him that Huey wasn't here...."He's probably downstairs..."He said to me. I shook my head no..
"What do mean he's not down there....did you check?"Granddad asked.
I nodded...."Oh no..First you now Huey..."He said....he grabbed his phone and started calling the police....I felt my heart sinking...Where is Huey...then a couple of seconds later after the police were called.... I hear somebody knocking....I open the door....And it was Jazmine and Cindy....and they franticily ran inside the house...."MR.FREEMAN! MR.FREEMAN!!!"Jazmine yells.

"What is it!? What's wrong!?"Granddad asked. "Turn on the TV just trust us!"Cindy said. Granddad turned the TV...and the news is on. "It looks like we are at a stand still ladies and gentleman as the police are surrounded around a young child who is planning to commit suicide...we hand over the rest of the news story to Eiljah Thompson..."Said one of the Reporters. "Thanks John...as well all see the situation....is going on behind me...we can now confirm that this child is Huey Freeman...the Oldest Grandson of Robert Jebediah Freeman and the Older Brother of Riley Freeman...the Freeman family have been on plenty of news stories before......but this definitely the most depressing...actually the police got a call not long ago From Me.Freeman saying that his oldest had gone missing..."Said the other Reporter. Granddad turned off the Tv. "WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!"Granddad said. We ran outside outside and got the car....and drove to where Huey was....Once we got there the four of us got out of the car.."Huey! Huey!"Granddad yells as were all pushing through the crowd of police men and women..."Huey don't do this!!"Jazmine yelled. "Why shouldn't I....I caused Riley to be the way he is now....I don't deserve to live...."Huey said he sounded completely emotionless..."Yo Huey...your voice sounds different..."Cindy pointed out. Huey turned around and opened his eyes.....that looked really emotionless maybe even more emotionless than mine..We all gasped...."You all hate me now right? Haha....I bet you do..."Huey said. "No Huey we don't! And it's not yo-" "DON'T FUCKIN LIE TO ME YOU'RE ONLY MAKING IT WORSE!"Huey yelled cutting off Granddad...Huey started leaning off the railing of the Bridge..."Huey don't please!"Jazmine yelled. "What you're gonna do is crazy!! You can't do this to yourself!"Cindy yells.

"Goodbye..."Huey said as he letting himself fall.....I ran as fast as Could...I reach my hand and grabbed his hand before he could actually fall past the bridge....Huey looks up at me and is surprised...."Riley?"He asks. I was crying....I could feel...emotions again...."HUEY PLEASE....DON'T DO THIS! IF YOU KILL YOURSELF THEY WIN!!! ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU TOLD ME?!"I yelled at him...hoping he would remember...He looked disappointed in himself.....

"I CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE YOU!!! I KNOW I WAS AN ASSHOLE TO YOU BUT I NEED YOU HERE!!!! I DON'T WANNA BE ALONE!!! THEY BEAT! THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS WORTHLESS!!! AND IF THEY WOULD'VE WENT WITH THERE ORIGINAL PLAN...THEY'VE KEPT ME AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED ME AS A TEENAGER.....PLEASE...IT'S TIMES LIKE THIS I REALLY NEED YOU!!! PLEASE! IF YOU KILL YOURSELF I WON'T HESITATE TO DO THE SAME..."I screamed at him....he hung his head down in shame....and then he grabs the railing..trying to pull himself back up..."I really am stupid aren't I? I can't leave you...I don't wanna leave you....I jus feel so bad for what for what happened to you...I should've never left on your own.."Huey said.
"It wasn't your fault....you had something to do..."I said. He pulled himself up... Granddad,Jazmine,and Cindy came to help him...Once we got Huey back on the bridge.....We hugged all him...Me and Huey were both still crying...Huey kissed me on my forehead...I smiled for the first time in what felt like forever....Some of the police officers came to us....they did not look very happy with Huey...they were glad he was ok but not so happy with the fact that Huey almost killed himself.....
