"I don't know where you are, but please, come home soon. I'm not sure I can do this without you." She finished and then hung up the phone. She stared at her home screen with tears in her eyes. It was a picture of her and her soon to be husband at a picnic together. It should've made her feel a bit happier but nothing about this situation could be viewed as happy. They were a sweet couple, rarely got into fights and never had the aim to hurt each other. That is until November 3rd, 2007. That was the day he went missing. Anjelica didn't know what to make of the situation that day. They had both gone off to work that morning as usual but when Anjelica came home to find her husband not there she was in a state of dismay. She didn't think that much of it, she thought that maybe he had gone to get a drink with a few of his work friends and forgot to tell her about it. That was a logical explanation right? But when it was 8:00 and there was still no sign of her fiancé, she started to get the sense that something was wrong.

She dialed up his boss' phone number. "Hello, I was just wondering if Roger was still at the office or if you would know where he is." She stayed calmly. His answer did not please Anjelica.
"Roger didn't show up for work today. I thought he was home with you." He hesitated. This did not make sense to Anjelica, she watched him leave the house and she was also at work all day. This wasn't right. Things were not adding up.

She hung up the phone and sat down at the kitchen table. She decided to call Roger. The phone began to ring. No one answered, it went straight to voicemail. She said the only things that made sense to her at the moment. She lingered at her home screen.

...

She waited at the steering wheel. Watching through her front window. She had done some digging on recent charges to his name. What she found was shocking. There was a motel bill, multiple charges for gas, and orders from local restaurants. It would seem that he has been lying. She had tracked down the address of the motel and driven there. It didn't seem like he left. When she pulled into the parking lot, she immediately spotted his car. Her suspicions grew. She watched a door open from the front of the motel. She peaked from within the car to look at the person opening the door, sure enough; there stood her husband, leading a woman out of the room. Anjelica's heart broke. She watched them laugh and talk at the doorway. When the door finally closed, the woman walked down the stairs to her car that was a few spots across from Anjelica's. The woman was walking slowly. Anjelica felt an emotion that was quite foreign to her, which could only be described as pure rage.

Anjelica grabbed something out of the glove compartment. It was small, it had a handle, and a little price that could only be placed as a trigger. Anjelica grabbed a pistol. Before she knew what she was doing she launched herself out of the car with the pistol in hand. The heels of her boots clicked against the ground as she walked towards the unnamed woman. The woman fiddled with her keys for quite a few minutes trying to find the one to her car. This gave Anjelica enough time to come up behind her.

Anjelica stood there for a few seconds, silent. The woman noticed her and turned around. "Oh can I help you with some-" she was cut off by Anjelica. Anjelica shot her in the chest, blood began to spill out of her mouth and chest. The woman dropped to her knees and stumbled to the ground. Sirens started to blare. Anjelica's head whipped in their direction. She guessed that someone in a motel suite nearby had called the cops. Something clicked. Anjelica started to shake and placed her hands over her mouth dropping the gun. Her eyes widened at what she had just done, tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Hands on your head, hands on your head!" The policemen shouted. Anjelica obeyed. They rushed over to her. Sorrow filled Anjelica's fiancé's heart while blood pooled in the motel parking lot.
