Life As Luna

First Day

"L!"  Yelled Porsha as she tried to catch up with her. "Oh hey girl I didn't even hear you over all the loud shit"  Luna said as she was walking towards the school. It was her first day in middle school and all Luna could think about was how bad this was gonna be. She knew she wasn't as popular as Porsha so she wouldn't vibe with everyone else like Porsha. "Girl you need to get the damn wax out ya ears" laughing it off Porsha says.
"No everyone in here just need to shut up" Luna says while she's sitting down at the cafeteria table. "Hey what classes do you have cause I don't even know where Im suppose to go..."
"Umm I got my schedule the other day but you can follow me and I'll show you, I think we have like 2 classes together"says P. "Okay cool I'll meet you after breakfast cause I'm hungry and You know I'm bout to eat" says Luna.
"Okay well I'm bout to go see wassup with Rose and Nova." Porsha walks off.
Luna wasn't the type to socialize much so she normally did sit around and drown in her thoughts. Porsha knew Luna very well and she paid her no mind but knew she was a little boring. They've been best friends since elementary school and that was a bond that could never be broken.
Luna was a bit stand offish and tried her hardest to be cool like P but never really got into the swing of things. She didn't look like the other girls she was darker with obvious lack of self esteem issues and Porsha feed off of this and this is mainly why they are best friends.
Luna texted Porsha "meet me by the lockers on our hallway."
Porsha immediately texted back "okay bet."
Porsha walks up with Rosa and Nova.
"Hey y'all it's been a min" says L.
Rose says "yeah it has."
Porsha says "well let's go ahead and find these classes before the bell rings."
They walked into their first class and only Porsha and L have that class together.
"Ima talk to y'all later hopefully we have lunch together" Porsha says to Rose and Nova as they walk into their class.
Rose and Nova just really became friends with Porsha over the summer but those three were like the Plastics but on crack. They ran 6th grade and maybe the whole middle school like they've been there ages. They were the most popular trio to step foot into Crest Middle but L not soo much. Luna was definitely their 4th wheel.
They all sat together at lunch that day.
"This is gonna be too hard all this work we gotta do already I mean I wasn't expecting all of this" said Nova.
"I mean it's not gonna be that hard as long as we stay on our work" says Luna.
"You mean as long as we copy your work!" says Rose laughing at L.
"Ha yeah right y'all hoes on y'all own" says L.
After lunch they finish their day at school and return home where they all stayed in the same neighborhood. The girls lived close but wasn't as close as they seemed. Rose and Nova are besties just like Luna and Porsha but they were more like sisters.
The girls finish they're day off with a group text to each other.
"Goodnight bitches see y'all in the a.m. I already can't wait for the weekend", says Porsha.
"You and me both" says Luna.
"Iight goodnight"says Nova.
"You damn right" says Rose "I can't wait til the weekend we getting turnt fr"
Luna turns her phone over and ignores the rest of the beeps that go on. She looks out her window beside her bed and becomes fixated on the moon. Luna always love just to look at the moon. She felt connected to it in ways she couldn't explain. She stares at it until her eyes grow heavy and she drifts off into her dreams.
