For Elliot Stabler, it was a night of endless paperwork and gulping down cheap coffee; it was the most putrid thing he'd ever tasted, but if it got him through the night, so be it.

Elliot was wrapping up a case where a young woman was found beaten to death in Central Park; they had found that a man who was supposedly a realtor was stocking her. After a wild goose chase trying to find him, he was finally found...however, it took the sacrifice of his partner, Olivia Benson, to get the perp.

"You're almost done here?" Detective John Munch asked.

"Yes, sir." Elliot nodded, looking at Munch. "You heading out?"

"Yeah. If I don't get home, I'll miss the end of the Orioles game."
