[Hey, guys. So wow, I'm getting way more inspiration for this story than I originally planned. I know this is listed in the Romance and Short Story categories, but I don't know if this will end up qualifying as a short story. I have no idea how long this will end up being. I'll make it as long as all three or whatever readers here want it to be.
Song is "Easy" by We Are The In Crowd. The picture is of Corey Gray/Holland and Chrissy Costanza/Ayden. If they would just sing a song together I wouldn't have to photoshop them together! They're both singers.]
(Ayden's Perspective)
My pen tapped rhythmically on my open notebook as my hand rested on my cheek in class. I stared at the little drawings in the paper margins, smiling to myself at the little cartoon superheros frowning at the idea of school lectures. The teacher's booming voice and the fact that he always circled the room as he lectured were the only things keeping me awake. He came by my desk in the middle of the room every once in a while to make sure I wasn't dying from boredom, and I feigned alertness for a few seconds until he turned his back.
"Wake up, sleepy heads," he mocked with a rolling laugh as he put a hand on the black tie covering his beer gut. I looked up to see a twinkle in his gray eyes and the sunlight from the nearby window seeping into his brown, receding hairline. "Some of you are in danger of not graduating if you don't pass this class."
My eyes rolled as I turned back to my notebook. All that was written down was something about the Legislative branch in D.C.
"Miss. Sheer?" He sounded as if he had some sour taste stuck on the tip of his tongue.
"I have an 'A' in your class," I automatically snapped at him.
I looked back up to see a smirk on his face and cockiness in the old man's eyes. "You won't for long if you can't stay focused in Government. Got it?"
"Mhmm." My lips formed into a straight line as I cocked my head at him and raised my eyebrows as if to end the conversation. He huffed loudly and turned back to the board. I didn't mind much if he didn't like me; my dad didn't have time to go to conferences.
The bell echoed through the hallway and lifted drowsy students from their seats in a hurry. Stuffing my notebook in my backpack and putting headphones in my ears, I was the first one out the door.
"Have a good day, Miss. Sheer," I faintly heard Mr. West say bitterly through my music. I waved a hand in the air and continued walking to return his gesture.

I dropped a tray of burnt and nauseating school food on a round table in the back corner of the cafeteria. My friend Ingrid smirked at me as I took a seat. I felt her playful brown eyes fixated on me as I dug into what was claimed to be "popcorn shrimp." After a few seconds I glared at her from across the table.
"What?" I snapped with fake food in my mouth.
She chuckled and put her hands up. "You mad, bro?"
My eyes rolled and I took a sip of water.
"She's just tired," our other friend Elena explained, flipping her long, blonde hair behind her shoulder and blinking her green eyes.
Ingrid smirked again and ran a hand through her black hair that was tied in a loose ponytail. "Holland again?"
A groan emitted from my lips as I chewed and blinked my itchy eyes a few times.
"The country?" Chris, a transfer student from New Jersey the month before and my newly claimed "gay best friend" asked. A twinkle formed in his bright blue eyes as he punched me playfully in the arm. His short, dark brown and blonde hair was drinking in the sunlight from the window next to us. "I doubt a whole country is pissing you off, girlie."
