Chapter 22 docter appointment

Today I'm going to the doctors today with Colten and we still haven't told anyone I haven't been showing yet I have a tiny baby bump and I'm excited

and I can't wait for our little one to get here and I want a little girl and Colten wants a little boy but

yeah I got up and took a bath and washed off and shaved and brushed my teeth and did my hair and

make up and got dressed and put shoes on and went downstairs and Colten was waiting for me

Colten: ready ( smiles )

Abby: yeah i am are you ( smiles )

Colten: yes let's go ( smiles and grabs Abby's hand )

We walked out the door and to the car and got In and drove to the doctors and got to the doctors and

walked in and signed in and sat down and waited for us to get called Back

( few mins later )

The doctor called us back and we walked back and sat in the room and the nurse came in and smiled and got everything ready

Nurse: hi y'all how are you today and who is this

Abby: hi We're doing good and this is my boyfriend the baby's dad ( smiles )

Colten: hi How are you

Nurse: I'm fine thanks for asking ready to see how yalls little one is doing

Abby: yes ( smiles )

Nurse: okay

So the nurse turns the lights off and the screen on and lifts my shirt up and puts cold gel on my

stomach and Colten holds my hand and we look at the screen and she moves the wand around my

stomach and stops and turns the volume button up and we hear a heartbeat and we stop and smile

Abby: oh my gosh is that the baby

Nurse: yes it is the heart is fast and strong and healthy the baby is growing big and healthy and so are you and you will find out the gender in a few weeks and the you are slowly showing you got a baby bump but not to big

Abby: awe okay thank you so much I am so in love i love it

Colten: this amazing I love the sound of that and so glad our baby is healthy and strong

We smile and kiss and the nurse wipes my stomach off and turns the lights on and gives us pictures and I sit up and the doctors gives us papers and tells us

our next doctors appointment and we walk out and get another appointment and walk out and go to the car

Abby: want to get something to eat

Colten: yeah want to get some Chick-fil-A

Abby: yeah ( smiles )

We get in the car and go get something to eat and drink and hang out and talk and then go home and and walk in and sit down and cuddle on the couch

and watch tv and eat junk food and talk about our baby and think about what we are having while

everyone was gone and then get eat dinner and go outside and watch the sunset together
