Wow...it feels nice.
The chilly night breeze hit my face brushing my hair along with it realising how excited I was to come here. The euphoria slowly soundlessly swallowed me as I rambled on the pavement by the road. I slid my hands in the pockets of my trench coat as a grin spread across my face.
I was so freaking excited that I wanted to squeal so hard but had to content myself since I didn't want people to give me weird glances as they passed by although, there were only countable pedestrians.
Even though it was my second time visiting Korea, it still felt as if I'm new to the atmosphere here, in short, I was as excited as the first time. I couldn't wait to explore Seoul and meet BTS.
Yes BTS.
I wonder where they live or where they are it's not like I would join in that group of sasaengs, I just wanted to meet them at least look at them from afar. That would be enough for me to make me happy for the rest of my life.
I glanced at my wristwatch. It was pretty late. I longed to walk for a little more, but it was already getting late and I, unfortunately, didn't have my dinner yet.
I decided to walk back to my hotel but halted when I heard a thud sound of someone falling on the ground followed by the tyres screeching.
My eyes widened as I took in the scene unfolding in front of me. A man was lying on the road his forehead was bleeding. The person who ran into him didn't even spare a glance as he drove off.
Asshole.
I ran towards him, bending down to my knees. I looked at his face to find a wound on his forehead, which I guess was serious along with cuts here and there. I checked his body for any other serious injuries, but instead, I found his phone, wallet along with keys.
I noticed a man approaching me looking very worried.
"Call for an ambulance," I whispered.
Glad he knew English as he quickly replied, "I did, it'll be here any second."
I was so scared that I didn't realise that people have surrounded me.
Oh gosh.
Did it have to happen now?
My phone buzzed in my pocket and groped it out.
Couldn't my mom wait a little longer?
I answered it, "Mom, I'm kinda busy right now. I'll call you back later."
The sounds of siren wailing of an ambulance distracted my eyes.
"What are-"
Before she could even complete her sentence, I cut her off by muttering a fleet sorry and disconnecting it as two men stepped out of the ambulance helping the man on the stretcher.
⁂⁂⁂
"Mom you can't just expect me to leave an injured guy alone without anyone by his side." I elucidated making myself comfortable in one of the hospital chairs. Completely exhausted. My eyes were slowly drooping I could sense my brain pounding to come out. There were only three hours left to strike midnight and god knows if I would be lucky enough to hire a cab.
"Do you have any idea what time it is over there? You don't even know that country well. You don't even know your way back, I guess."
"I'll do something about it," I muttered, pressing my temples with my hand. I regretted sleeping late.
"You'll do something about it? How, my dear?" She mocked. "I'm not saying it's evil to help a stranger, but you should have the least common sense to think about yourself too."
I huffed. "Mom I have had enough for today please don't try to frustrate me."
"You are such a careless, irresponsible child Anna. I have never expected this from you. I'm shocked to see this side of you."
"I'm 22, okay? You don't have to worry about me. I can handle myself."
"So easy for you to say. Anyway, do whatever you what it's not like you'll pay any heed to me. But one thing, if anything happens, don't come back crying to me." With that, she cut the call.
I clutched my phone hard until my fingers turned pale. I was so damn ready to break anything at the moment. It was the last thing I expected from my mother.
Running my fingers through my black wavy hair, I looked up landing my brown eyes, on a drop-dead gorgeous woman having the flawless fair glow on her face like models in a red one-piece dress ending just above her knees. She looked worried with scurrying steps as her brown hair bounced in the air. She was glancing at the room numbers, probably searching for a patient who is related to her.
Her steps ceased, letting out a heavy breath she stood looking at the room no. 208, perhaps she is related to the guy who I saved before.
My thoughts were only confirmed when she pushed the door and walked in.
Finally, I'll be able to go back to the hotel and sleep.
I soon followed her in to see that the girl was holding the guy's, right palm, voice cracking as she kept on asking him questions in his unconscious state. His head safely bandaged along with his left-hand. Even though with small cuts and bruises covering his face and hands, he still survived to look impressive.
She must be someone very close to him.
"Ahem." I succeeded in grabbing her attention as she gave me a questioning look. "I'm the one who witnessed the accident and brought him to the hospital," I answered before she could even ask.
That piece of information stirred something in her as she rushed to me, startling me as she held my arms.
"I want to know everything, everything from the start."
I nodded, feeling little awkward with the sudden attention.
