The leaves crunched under her bare feet as she ran. Her auburn hair blew in the strong wind. She was free. She had escaped from her prison. The fears that haunted her on a daily basis were in the past. She was free. She decided to take a break from the running. Nothing could take the smile off her face, or so she thought. Her happiness turned to fear as she heard leaves crunching in the distance. "How did they know where I would be? No one knew that I was planning to escape, I told no one." she whispered to herself. She gathered her thoughts and decided to hide behind a big tree stump. She sat curled up in a ball for what seemed like hours trying to decide when it was safe to continue running. But in that time the sound of leaves crunching under foot had drawn closer. A scream pierced through the air, the silence within the forest now had an eerie presence.
