The day is finally here. No more confinement. No more drafty halls. No more overprotective father. I am finally free. I sprint from my room and run through the castle barefoot to the courtyard door. I take a deep breath and throw the doors open.
The cool breeze rushes over me. I walk down the steps and then my feet touch the grass. It was soft on my feet. I saw my father across the castle grounds and ran to him.
When he saw me he stood up to embrace me. I hugged him back. "So I was thinking for your first day out of the castle we could go visit our neighboring kingdom, Ημέρα, " He said almost like he had a whole plan.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well..." he hesitated, "It is a surprise." I sigh and agree.
-------------------------
We sit through a bumpy ride in the carriage for about an hour. My father tried to get me in something nicer than what I had on now, a soft blue flowy dress, but I refused. The carriage came to a stop and we hopped out. I looked up and saw a castle just like ours just brighter and more colorful. It was amazing.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"We are in the kingdom of Ημέρα." My father said.
We walked up the steps. I had my bags in my hand a servant tried to take them for me but I refused. We went through the doors into a brightly lit room.
The servant who offered to hold my bags showed me up a ton of steps to a room with a huge window.
I walk up to the window to see a perfect view of the sunset. The room itself was amazing it had white curtains and a vanity made of oak with a matching canopy bed. The bed has the most beautiful quilt and the pillows were fluffed to perfection.
I walk back over to the window and look down and see a garden. I decide to go down and look around. It is better than feeling trapped up here.
I change into something a bit more leisurely and make my downstairs. When I get to the courtyard I am not alone.
