The Legend Of Lightningblaze

Chapter 1

Dawn. The time when cats rise and commence their duties, or continue sleeping in total darkness like me and my littermates were. A quarter moon had passed and our eyes still hadn't opened yet. I was getting more impatient as every single day went by. Great SpiritClan, I just want to know what they look like already! Green like my mother's, or blue like my father's. Or maybe both. Amber would be cool too. Wait, no. Yellow would be the best. It would suit my name.

Sorry for being rude. I just want to, no, need to see the world. Father's told me it's beautiful. He's told me about the mountains where we live, as well as the forest, moor and lake, and food. Mice, squirrels, voles, birds all sound delicious.

Sorry again! I'm Lightningkit, daughter of Swiftflame and Shadefrost. I have three whole littermates, who are awesome, hilarious and very, very annoying. Well, sometimes. I'm very grateful that I have them with me, and I love them as far as the edge of the forest and back. Elder Frozenmist has told me that the forest is unimaginably big so-

"YAA!" I hear the loud, high pitched yowl of my sister, Cheetahkit, but by the time that I finally turn around, it's too late, she's already on top of me. I feel needle sharp claws dig into my flank and then-

I can see. For the first time ever, I see my littermates wriggling around in the nest that we share with our mother. I see her as well, along with our father, gazing at us with pride shimmering brightly in his blue eyes. He's so handsome!

I am extremely proud to have the Clan deputy as my father. He's massive, and has a thick, dark grey coat that I love snuggling up to when he tells us the best stories. His tail's long, his ears pointy and his paws are huge! But most importantly, his eyes are kind and he's the best dad and warrior EVER!

My mum's awesome too. She's a dark ginger tabby with the most beautiful eyes that I've ever seen (no offence Dad).  She's the most kind and caring cat ever. I remember when Scorchkit was having an argument with Nightkit about who was going to be the best warrior. And then Swiftflame stepped in, saying that they were both going to be equally great warriors, since they are her kits. But a tiny little ingle-pringle inside of me tells me that they will be not be equals, and that they will have two completely different destinies. I ignore it though. It's just a feeling, not the truth.

Anyway, it's about time that I tell you about my littermates. I bet that you have been waiting for this part for a thousand moons!

So, I've already told you about how annoying and funny they are, and you know their names. So really there's nothing more to say about them. It's like making a whole documentary about mose-dung. Not that I know what a documentary is, I've just heard one of the former kittypet queens talking about them. Yeah, I know, she talks about lots of weird stuff.
