Song Imagine (Clint Barton)

A/N

 So the song is Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift. I thought a song imagine would be cool so I'm trying it. If I like it I'll do more. None of these lyrics are mine they all belong to the amazing Taylor Swift. 

I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go.

You went on a mission with Clint and it was a disaster. They got you on the roof of the building you were fighting In. This was your first mission with Clint as a married couple. You guys got married last month and you wanted to come back and kick some ass. Well that utterly failed. "You alright babe" he called across the roof top. "Yeah I'm alr-." One of hydras goons shot you in the leg and you tumbled. You were falling when someone caught your hand. "Y/N" Clint called through tears. "I'll never let you go baby, never" he said. Tears were streaming down your face. You smiled sadly. "You were gonna be a daddy" you said as he lost his grip and you fell to your death.

When all those shadows almost killed your light.

"Y/N" Clint screamed. "No Y/N, why couldn't it be me, why". Clint stayed there until Natasha had to come pick him up. "Clint what happend" she said worried. He didn't reply he just got on the quinjet and didn't speak. When they got back Clint told her everything that happend. "She always said she wanted to go out in a badass way" he laughed wiping a tear away. "At least you can find the humour in the situation" Natasha said sadly. 

 I remember you said don't leave me here alone.

As Natasha stood up to give Clint privacy he stopped her. "Please Nat, dont leave me here alone, after all this, I don't want to tell the others yet, please" he begged. "Of coarse Clint" she said walking over to him. She stayed with him for the whole night.

But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight.

Natasha woke up to Clint crying. "Clint" she said rushing over to him. After all she was sitting in a chair and not in the same bed as Clint. "What is it Clint". "It wasn't just her who's life got taken away" he said between sobs. "She was pregnant" he explained. "I was gonna be a daddy. Natasha couldn't say anything, to shocked, to upset. 

Just close your eyes the sun is going down.

After Clint broke the news to the others, everyone was depressed. Clint always had trouble sleeping after that. Sometimes he would get Natasha to just talk to him, to help him get to sleep. "Shh" Nat would say. "Close your eyes the sun is going down" she would say ever so quietly. Then she would go back to her room.

You'll be alright no one can hurt you now.

Two weeks have passed since her passing. Clint and Nat were in the kitchen when Clint spoke. It was unusual since Clint barely spoke to anyone. "Well I'm looking on the bright side, now if people want to hurt me they'll have to kill me, no one can hurt me now.

You and I'll be safe and sound.

Two years have passed. Clint is a lot better now but hasn't dated anyone since. He still misses you everyday. He also misses the child he never had, he never got to hold. But he knows your watching him. He also knows that your safe now so is the baby. At least he knows you guys are safe and sound.
