Chapter 54.

" she's back." I spoke to kain. I went back up to his hospital room to talk.

" I know baby, I know. I got us." He says as he calls everyone he can think of.

Jake.. crap.

" I'll be back. " I tell him he nods and tells Johnny to stay close. Johnny has been his security guy for awhile.. since Nicole the first time..

I pull my phone out and dial Jakes number. What do I say? My mom is supposed to take Julia out tonight so me and jake need to talk.

" hey baby, where are you? Your mom just picked the baby up. " he says as he answers the phone.

" I'll be home soon.. we need to talk.." I spoke. My voice shaking.

" everything okay Juliette? " he says.

Tears tugging at my eyes.. " I'll see you when I get home, okay? " I spoke and hung up. How do I explain such traumatic things to someone?

I make my way back to Kane's room. His face is in his hands, he does this when he's stressed, worried, or broken..

" heyy, I have to go.. can I come back later? " I say as I pull his hands from his face. He gives me a small smile and nods. I kiss his forehead and walk out..

I make my way down the street where my car is parked, I sit in my car for a few extra minutes to think and cry about everything.. How will Jake handle it all? It doesn't matter... I love Kane, I always have.. I always will. This is something I had to talk to jake about also, he wants so much with me and my kids but I can't give him that, not while I still love Kane.

I start my car and make my way down the street.. it's time..
