                      Beverly's POV
As soon as the last bell rang and school was out for summer, I ran to the girl's bathroom. I saw no one was in there except for Greta's stupid "girl group".
I went into a stall and took out my cigarettes. I quickly lit one before anyone could smell it and started smoking.
Then, all of a sudden, there was a huge bang on the door. I jumped and assumed it was Greta. "Are you alone, Beaverly, or do you have half the guys in the school with you, huh, slut?!" she shouted on the other side of the stall door.
I rubbed my cigarette on the side of the stall. "I know you're in there, little shit, I can smell you. No wonder you have no friends," she said.
I rolled my eyes. "What is it, Greta? Am I a slut or a little shit? Make up your mind."
"Your trash," she says. I hear water running, then something being dragged along the floor. "We just wanted to remind you."
I look up and see a trash bag coming over the edge of the side of the stall door. I hold my backpack over my head while cold and wet trash gets dumped all around me.
"At least now you'll smell better. Let's go girls," she says, as they walk out. "Have a nice summer, Beaverly."
                  -----------------------------
I walk outside and there's a boy holding up his bike and his project in the other hand.
"Are you gonna let me go by, or is there a secret password or something?" I ask him. He turns around. "Oh, um, sorry," he says. "Sorry's not a-" I'm cut off by him dropping his project. "password...," I finish.
Then he drops his bike. "Henry and his goons are over by the west entrance, so you should be fine," I tell him. "Oh, I wasn't-," I cut him off. "Everyone knows he's looking for you," I tell him.
"What are you listening to?" I ask him, taking the headphones off his head. I put them on and a New Kids on the Block song fills my ears. I take them off, smiling. "New Kids on the Block," I say.
"I don't like them, I was just-" I cut him off again. "Wait, your the new kid right?" I ask. "Now I get it."
"Theres...nothing to get," he says. "I'm just messing with you," I tell him, sloppily putting his headphones back on his head.
He takes them off. "I'm Beverly Marsh," I say. "Yeah, I know that, because we're in the same class. Social studies," he says. "You were... I'm Ben!" he days not finishing the first part of his sentence. "But everyone just calls me..."
"The new kid," I say finishing his sentence. "Well, Ben, there are worst things to be called..." I tell him. "Let me sign this." I take out his yearbook from his backpack.
I open it and see there's no signatures. My smile fades a bit as I open a pen with my mouth and sign "Beverly Marsh" with three hearts. "Stay cool, Ben from sosh class," I say handing him his yearbook and getting off the stairs.
"Yeah, you too, Beverly," he says. "Hang tough, New Kid on the Block," I shout from behind my shoulder walking away. I hear him shouting something but the excited chatter for summer is too loud so I continue walking.

                          Y/N's POV
I'm walking with Bill to house. He's muttering something that I couldn't hear  at first but then it gets louder.
"He thrusts his fist against the p-p-p.... Shit!" He exclaims. "Are you okay?" I ask him. "Yeah, I'm just trying to work on my speech impediment," he says.
"Oh. I think your doing an amazing job so far," I tell him. "Thanks, y/n," he says, blushing. We walk into his garage and his dad is there.
We stand up our bikes. "Need any h-h-help-" he's cut off by his dad. "I thought we agreed," he says. Bill looks at me then at a huge weird science thingy with long tubes.
He walks over to it so I follow him. "Before you say anything... Just let me s-s-show you something first," he says, grabbing an action figure.  He put it down the tube and gets a hose and pours water in it.
The figure moves in all the tubes and I watch fascinated. The figure lands in a tin marked 'The Barrens'. "The Barrens... Its the only place G-Georgie could've ended up," he tells his dad. "He's gone," says his dad.
"But if the storm swept G-G-Georgie we should've gone o-" he cuts off. "Hes gone! He's dead!" his dad exclaims, standing up. My eyes start to water thinking of the horrible day.
"He's dead and there's nothing we can do! Nothing!" his Dad shouts. I look up at Bill and his eyes are watery too. I grab onto his hand and give him a reassuring squeeze.
"Now take this down before you mother sees it," Bill's dad says. "Next time you want to take something from my office," he says, taking down a map. "Ask." He walks out of the garage leaving Bill and I there with watery eyes. "Can y/n spend the night?" Bill shouts to his Dad. "I dont care!" He shouts walking into the front door. "C'mon," Bill says leading me to the front door. "Let's go to my room."

                       Mike's POV
I ride my bike down the streets of Derry and finally reach Downtown Derry. I go to Quality Meats and start unpacking the meat from the basket of my bike until I see Henry's car.
I steer my bike into a narrow alley way and hide behind some boxes. The car flies past and none of his friends seem to notice me so I walk over to the side door of Quality Meats and unpack the meat.
Then I hear the lock on the door start moving and I turn around. The door opens with a loud noise so I jump back. Then tiny black hands crawl out and start tossing back and forth. Smoke starts coming out and it looks like theres a fire inside the door. Inside it I hear things like 'Mike Help me It Burns!!'
I start freaking out. Then all goes silent.
Then the door jolts open completely and theres sharp noises. There looks like a human figure struggling on a chain. Then the figure turns around and waves at me. Its eyes grow yellow. It's a fucking clown.
I hear a loud noise and look to my right and Henry's car is flying through the alleyway. I jump back on to a piece of cardboard avoiding getting ran over. The car stops in front of me.
Henry stands up. "Get the fuck out of my town!" he screams as he throws a rock at me. The car drives off. Then someone walks out of the door of Quality Meats. It's the butcher.
"Mike, are you okay?" He asks me. I just sit there breathing heavily in fear of that clown that I saw and Henry.
No I'm not
I'm not fucking okay
