Evan's POV:

Post-shower, Lexi stands in front of the mirror, brushing through her hair.

"I hope you brought extra clothes." I laugh.

She smirks, "brought the whole damn closet."

I giggle and take my brush from her, dragging it through the subtle tangles in my hair. Lexi watches, nibbling her lip.

"I'm taking you on a date tonight. So put on a dress or something nice." She says.

I furrow my brows, "um... what happened to a simple dinner?"

"I changed my mind. I'm taking you somewhere special." She shrugs.

I don't really know how to react. I haven't been taken on an actual date in years, even before the divorce. "I- but where?!" I ask her.

She shakes her head, "don't worry about the details. Just look pretty, which shouldn't be hard for you to accomplish." Lexi grins, kissing my cheek quickly as she walks off.

My eyes roll, "whatever you say, Lex."

I begin getting ready, per Lexi's request. She goes out to her car, retrieving her bags and doing the same.

About forty minutes into the process, Lexi joins me in the bathroom again. "I don't see why it takes you this long to get ready. You're already gorgeous, so what are you even doing in here?" Her arms snake around my waist and she lays her chin on my shoulder.

"You told me to look nice, didn't you?" I taunt.

"Yes, but.... do it faster." She laughs.

I shake my head and continue coating my lashes in mascara with Lexi's arms around me. She kisses the exposed part of my back a few times, and her hands slide up and cup both my breasts. "Oh, really?" I laugh, staring at her through the mirror

"Really." She winks, her hands still on my body.

Her lips touch my skin again and I sigh deeply. "If you want to get out of here anytime soon, I strongly suggest you stop there."

"Fine, hurry up." She gives, removing her arms and walking back to the bed.

I finally finish up my make-up and hair. I find a dress to wear, nothing too fancy, and start sliding into it. "I want to know where we are going."

"How about no?" Lexi jokes.

My eyes roll once more and I pull the straps over my shoulders and struggle to zip myself up. Lexi appears in the doorway and raises her brows. "Help?" I whine.

She happily obliges, zipping the back and straightening the dress for me. "Maybe I shouldn't have told you to dress nice. You're too hot." She gawks, looking me up and down multiple times.

"You're sweet." I pout my lips out. As I say it, I feel a burning sensation on my left asscheek where Lexi's smacked me. "Ugh- I take it back." I scoff.

She smiles and kisses my cheek quickly, "are you ready now?"

I nod quickly, slipping my foot into my shoe. "I suppose."

She smiles and heads out of the bedroom, me trailing behind her. I follow her out to the car, where she opens my door like she usually does, and she gets in and drives us to a restaurant.

"What is this place?" I ask, not having been here before.

"Look at that... I'm showing you things and you've lived here a whole lot longer than I have." Lexi teases, making a face. "I hope you're in the mood for pasta."
