It was 3 days since Camille hit her head on the table and this whole craziness started. Apparently the wall protecting Kinder was breaking. There were things coming into the city. Every one in the house was calling them "clones". Camille wasn't so sure what to think about it.
Camille wanted to know more about the clones, but no one had any idea what they were or where they came from. Unless... maybe Camille could talk to Em's Grandpa Tony. She walked down the dark hallway to the end where Grandpa Tony's room was.
Camille knocked on the door three times, and Grandpa Tony answered.
"Hello Dear, how's your head feeling?"
"It's fine. Um.. I have a few questions about all of what's going on"
"If you want a gun, I promise you I don't have one!" Grandpa Tony chuckled.
"No I don't need a gun. I just, uh, do
you know anything about the clones?"
A tear fell from Grandpa Tony's eye. "Well dear, you see a long time ago when your mom and dad were being born, they cloned every one, especially the babies. I was against it, but many people loved the idea"
Camille was shocked. "Why would they do that? And what do they want now!?"
"It's really messed up. I know. The reason they were cloning everybody, especially the babies, is so they had a replacement when the original died. Say someone got cancer and died, then their family had the choice to either grieve, or get a 2.0 version of that person."
"But why did they build the wall," Camille said, shocked. "and why do the clones want in?"
"At first every thing was just peachy! Until one day the clones they started mutating, and they didn't want to be locked in confinement until the original of them died. They wanted to be free, a human. So they started escaping, and killing the originals. The people who survived made Kinders, I'm not sure if there are other places in the world, but I do know we are no longer safe." Grandpa Tony said grimly.
"Thanks Grandpa, I appreciate you telling me this. Do you need anything?"
"I'll just have some orange juice dear."
Camille hurried to the kitchen and got Grandpa Tony his orange juice. It was getting late so she decided to go to bed.

Camille found a pillow and a soft knit quilt, and was about to crawl onto the couch that had her blood stain on it when Em scolded her.
"Camille what do you think you are doing?!"
"I'm just going to bed Em, it's no big deal." Em seemed like the protective type. She would make an excellent mom some day, if these stupid clones didn't ruin her chance.
"Not there you aren't."
"Why not?" What was wrong with the couch?
"Well A) The couch is far too close to the door and we don't have it properly bolted up to protect from the clones yet. And B) you are injured, and you deserve a comfy bed, you have been sleeping in Hayden's bed for the last few nights. So go crawl into his bed!"
"But we're will he sleep?"
"You two can decide that." Em waggled her eyebrows up and down. Well okay then, maybe this apocalypse thing wouldn't be so bad after all.
Camille walked around the house with her pillow and quilt in her hands until she found Hayden's room. She slowly opened the door and it make a loud creek. Oops.
"Who is that?" Hayden asked. He was sitting on his bed reading a book.
"Oh it's, uh Camille. I was told to sleep I your bed, but I can take the floor if you want."
"Or we could just both have my bed." Hayden suggested.
He was just so perfect Camille just couldn't resist but to say yes. "Okay, that's fine with me. I don't have any pyjamas, can I borrow some?" Camille would have borrowed some from Em, but she was too curvy and Camille was just a petite little thing.
Hayden dug through the top drawer of his dresser and pulled out a T-shirt for Camille. She went to the bathroom and got changed.
Hayden was laying in his bed with the comforter pulled up to his waist. He patted the spot beside him. "Come lay down beside me, I can read you some of my book if you like."
"I'd rather just go to bed, if that's okay." Camille could feel the fatigue pulling at her heavy eyelids. She listed down in the bed, and the minute that Hayden turned off the light she was out too.
