08 A SECRET

YENA opened her eyes after that deep sleep, thinking she was still in school. She looked around her and it was pitch black. She quickly got down from whatever she thought she was sleeping on and walked towards the door.

Suddenly, the door was opened from the outside.

"Mom?" was the word that came out form her mouth when she saw her standing by the door.

"I thought I am still in school!" Yena said. Then, she remembered something, "Wait, Soonyoung!" Yena quickly grabbed her coat, and rushed out from her room.

"Yena,"

Yena ignored her mom and ran towards the main door. As she passed by the living room, she noticed something. No. Someone.

Someone was watching TV.

She walked towards that someone. It was Kwon Soonyoung.

"Soonyoung?" she said.

Soonyoung turned his head and looked at Yena who was looking wreck with her coat.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

Yena sighed. Her face suddenly went red.

"I was about to say that Soonyoung is here... But you just rushed out like that..." her mom said as she stood next to her.

Yena looked at her mom, trying to say how embarrassed she is at the moment. Soonyoung looked at Yena and her mom,

"What happened actually?" he asked with his blurry face.

Yena quickly walked towards her room, "I'm getting a shower first, mom,"

Yena's mom looked at Soonyoung, smiling.

"Is your head getting better?" she said as she put her hand on his forehead.

Soonyoung smiled, "Yes, thank you for the soup, aunty. It was delicious."

"Yena used to hate that soup whenever she had a fever. It's a good thing that you like it. I'll pack up the soup when Soojin gets here to pick you up."

Soonyoung nodded his head and smiled. For the first time, he could see how pretty Yena's mom is when she was smiling.

"Auntie," he called as she was walking towards the kitchen.

Yena's mom turned her head, "Yes?"

Soonyoung smiled, "If you smile a little bit more often, I wont be afraid of you like I always do," he said.

Yena's mom smiled, "I will, Soonyoung ah... Get some rest. Sleep if you want. You can go the guest room next to Yena's room. You can sleep in there,"

Soonyoung nodded his head. He continued watching TV until he suddenly dozed off on the sofa.

YENA was surprised when suddenly Jihoon came to her class finding her. Dani looked at Yena as she saw Jihoon by the door, with Haru who was calling her before.

Yena walked towards Jihoon by the class door,

"What is it, Jihoon ah?" she asked.

Jihoon looked at Yena,

"Soonyoung didnt come to class today. And you happened to be close to him these days. May I know where he is? We have to hand in our literature report together today, but he didnt show up."

"Ah... Soonyoung was having fever. He got two days sick leave from my mom. I already gave it to your homeroom teacher this morning." Yena then remembered something, "And, he actually gave me some sort of a report yesterday when my mom and I sent him home. He said to give it to you. Wait a bit,"
