Princess's avatar: it's all my fault

Chapter 5: ~Shadow's Mysteries~

Two footsteps rushing toward the mansion, two huge silhouettes with a pace of evilness, on of them with a noticeable devilish smile, the other with calm emotionless expressions. Princess and Raeva were playing catch back then, Princess said "catch me slowy" while running away to hide behind the trees, the other girl replied "boo, let's find out who's the true slowy here" while rushing toward Princess's direction.

Raeva started searching for her rival in the wooded area of the garden, she noticed a presence behind a tree that look like princess's hideout, thrilled by her discovery, she started to approach slowly to catch Princess off guard. Raeva is now in front of the tree, she shouted "found yah" while pulling the piece of black cloth.

She was tormented after realizing that what's there wasn't Princess, a black tall semitransparent shadow wearing a black coat stood in front of her as a thick black fog started to form up. Raeva yelled "who are you!" after falling scared to the ground. Princess noticed the fog coming from within the woods, she quickly rushed searching for her friend, "where is she" that's what she had in mind as a feeling an emptiness in her chest started to gives it effect, "why is this happening", "why now", she started to ask herself while getting closer to them. Finally there, she saw the shadow grab Raeva's neck lifting her from the ground, grabbing a knife from his coat, Princess froze in her place too scared to move while looking toward their direction, brusquely the other silhouette appeared behind Princess, and whispered "it's all your fault, our precious princess".

"I need to protect her!"

"I need to stop this..."

His knife was about to reach Raeva's chest, the time became infinitely slow, a deep one noted sound can be heard becoming more and more louder. Princess found herself floating mid-air, everything vanished, only darkness was there, no sound, no light, only her. Suddenly, a screen popped up Infront of her, something was written on it, "system fatal virus spotted. Grant access to continue." she read what was written there.

Once she pressed the button, she saw a flash followed with a formation of a matrix cube around her. Another panel appeared, this time it's a message from Rin:

"Princess, this is me Rin.

A strange virus infected the system, our access from the other side was fully blocked. I've granted u access to the library right before sending u to this world, once u finish reading this message you'll be teleported there, just follow your instinct, I need u to switch the emergency access lever in a hidden place there, I know u can find it. I only managed to transfer u to the command room. I'll reset the time to before 5 minutes once u succeed granting me access, so anything the virus caused to the world will be reverted.

Hurry before it's too late, I know you can do it."

Like mentioned, she was teleported to the library, "I need to do this, for everyone's sake" she said as she regathered her courage, she found herself in a circular big dome with a radius of 50 meters, where the walls are surrounded by an endlessly high bookshelf. She started looking around, she found out that each ten meters upward there's a small panel that works as an elevator to the next panel's level, "look like it's a parkour, so it's logical that the lever isn't on the ground floor I need a way to reach the first panel", she said right before starting looking for a way to reach the panel. She noticed a weird squared spacing in a part of the shelfs, after many tries, she managed to pull that out, making a place to step on, she then noticed another spacing above it, it's a hidden stair,  she kept pulling the squares and climbing them till she reached the first panel. From there she climbed the panels each one of them having its own challenge to reach the next one. After an hour she managed to reach the last panel uncovering a gate to another room, she opened it and proceeded...
