Chapter 1 | The Academy

The young child sat on her floor, going through several pages of different photos of the outside. Her eyes sparkled with amazement. She dreamed of herself going there one day, being able to stand in the same place the person who took this photo had. One in particular stood out to the young 5 year old girl, it was from a small hill she had assumed as there was a tree with red leaves, and below was a city. She wasn't sure what city, she made a mental note to ask an adult later.

It was beautiful nonetheless, she pondered who could have taken it. She wasn't sure, she brought this book home from the library. The young girl went through more of the photos yet a loud crashing noise could be heard from downstairs. She flinched and blinked a few times towards her door. Were her parents home? Were they okay? Curious, she slowly stood up and made her way to the door. The house was silent after the first crash, she found it odd.

She didn't want to admit it, but she was terrified. What was she going to do if it was an intruder? Curiosity overpowered her sense of logic, she wondered down the hall and slowly peeked around the corner. The last thing she saw was a man dressed in black before she passed out..

3rd P.o.V

The young 6 year old cheerfully skipped through the academy door, a young blonde haired boy following closely behind her. They arrived at their classroom, "Too bad, looks like I won Naruto!" The bluenette teased to the panting boy. "A-ahh.. Shut up, dattebayo! I let you win, Aki-baka!"

She playfully stuck her tongue out at him before heading to sit in her seat. She greeted her neighbor, "Hey Sasu-chan!" She teased this boy too. The young uchiha blushed embarrassingly, "Don't add -chan to my name, Akira! I'm not a female, hmph." He pouted and looked away, he wasn't going to let the young girl win. Akira felt bad and reached out to him, "Hey.. Did it actually hurt your feelings? I'm sorr-" She was cut off.

"I'm just messing with you, Aki. You fell for it! Haha!" Sasuke laughed, Akira blinked. She was played at her own game, even if it was childish. Naruto bounced up and collided into Akira which collided into Sasuke. They all laughed, after yelling at the instigator of course. At that moment, Akira truly wished that this could last forever. She will face the truth that wishes don't always come true.

As the school day ended, the trio walked out teasing each other. Sasuke noticed his older brother and his eyes lit up, leaving the two behind he ran over and immediately began talking. Akira just blinked, he was fast. Akira observed the teen, he had clearly seen things no one could undo. She was the same. He also had stress lines running down his cheeks, poor soul. He's so young to, Akira thought.

The older boy was not oblivious to Akira's calculating gaze. He asked his imouto about the two children he had left, "Sasuke, who are those two? I don't believe you've introduced us." Sasuke pouted, he didn't want to share his older brother! But he also couldn't ignore him either.. The boy turned and called his friends over, "Aki, Naruto! Meet my older brother! He graduated at a really young age, impressive right?" Naruto rebutted back and forth with Sasuke. They truly could fight over anything.

Akira laughed but quickly stopped the two with a quick sush. They both groaned but abided. Itachi watched and was rather impressed. Sasuke followed the girls instruction without so much as a argument. That was quite the feat. Said girl finally introduced herself, "It's a pleasure to meet ya! Im Akira but my friends call me Aki, and this hyperactive boy," she wrapped an arm around Naruto's neck, "is Naruto! We're Sasuke's best friends."

Sasuke had a blush and just muttered, while Naruto denied it flatly. Akira kept eye contact with the teen, ignoring the protests. The teen gave in, "I'm Itachi, im pleased to see Sasuke is making such wonderful friends." It was now the teens turn to analyze the two, he of course knew who Naruto was. Everyone had known, but it didn't matter much to Itachi. The girl wad another matter, of course he knew her as well. He was the one who had rescued her from them, he was curious as to how she was taking it. She had been so young after all.

"Itachi-nii can we go train now?" Sasuke pulled his brothers attention, and he had smiled and nodded. Akira blinked a few times, what was she doing? He seemed familiar, like shes seen his eyes before. But that wasn't possible, she only recently entered the ninja world. She wanted to explore the world and she felt that being a ninja was the only way to accomplish that. Akira and Naruto waved at the two leaving, "Bye, Sasu-chan! Have fun training!"

Sasuke didn't like that. He stuck his tongue out and pulled his bottom eye lid down. Naruto and her just giggled. "Ne, Naruto? Want to go get ramen?" Her arm is still around his neck, but he hyperly jumped out of it. "Heck yeah! Lets go, Aki!" He pulled her arm and they wondered to the ramen shop.

Hello, mina! I know, I know. Curse me. Im starting another story when I haven't updated my others, the difference is im inspired to write this one. To be honest I'm in a difficult point in my life, both mentally and emotionally. But this story is heavily inspired by who I am.. More like Akira is. Shes heavily inspired by what I am dealing with, yet shes still her own person. I hope you forgive me.. The chapters will fluctuate between short (such as this one) and long. These first chapters will be about Akira and her academy years, just a heads up haha.
