Lee's POV
I went to the top deck and saw the girl that Amy was waving at. She had dark pink hair and light blue eyes, somewhat similar to my own. She was too young to be Amy's mother, so I guessed that it was Lynn.
•
Amy jumped off the boat and tackled Lynn in a hug. "I've missed you to much!" she squealed, and Lynn laughed. "I've missed you as well! It's been ages, for all of you! Hello guys!" She waved towards the boat, and the others jumped off the boat.
•
Stampy, Rosie, and Finnball immediately hugged Lynn, and Squid slowly climbed off after they finished. Lynn turned to him happily, ran to him, and wrapped her arms around him. He hugged her back immediately, and I stood awkwardly next to Amy.
•
When they pulled apart, Lynn turned to me with a sweet smile. "Hi! You must me Lee, Amy's boyfriend! I'm Lynn!" She held out her hand, and I shook it. "Nice to meet you too." Lynn turned to Amy. "He's a cutie; you're lucky."
•
She giggled as I blushed in embarrassment. "I know that, Lynn. Are Mum and Dad up?" She shrugged. "I'll check, but I don't think so." She ran off, and Amy turned to me. "Isn't she super nice, like I told you?"
•
I nodded. "She is, actually. It's just your parents I'm worried about. Do I call them Ali and Tyson straight away, or Mr. and Mrs. Lee?" Amy laughed. "I'll tell you in front of them for you to call them Ali and Tyson, so they'll understand better. But do the Mr. and Mrs. thing first for a good first impression."
•
I chuckled softly as Lynn returned with only a woman beside her, and not a man, much to my relief. With light pink hair and dark blue eyes, she looked like an older version of Amy.
•
"Mum!" Amy cheered, running over and hugging her mother. She chuckled softly, hugging her back. "Amy, love, it's so glorious to see you again! And you've brought friends!" She released her daughter and hugged Stampy, Squid, Rosie, and Finnball. But she stared at me with a sweet smile.
•
"Who's this handsome young lad, Amy?" I smiled politely as Amy slightly pushed her mother towards me. "Mum, this is my boyfriend, Lee. Lee, this is my mum, Ali."
•
I held out my paw, and she shook it. "Nice to finally meet you Mrs. Lee." She grinned. "Now that makes me feel old! Call me Ali, please." I nodded as she turned to Amy again. "He's a polite one; I like him already!"
•
Lynn smiled. "I agree! Lee, you're too quiet. I'm going to wake Dad so we can eat!" Ali rolled her eyes. "Not now, Lynn. Tyson won't be in the best of moods, it isn't even 10 yet! But for now, I'll get you all to a place to stay for the week. Follow me."
•
Ali led us through the woods and to a large town-like area, with villagers and other people out and about. "We live in a colony of mermaids and mermen, like us, so all of these people are related to us in some way," Lynn said, trading with a villager for a book.
•
The nerdy sister, I see.
•
"It's very beautiful," Stampy said in shock, and Ali laughed. "Thank you. It's always busy, as new mermaids from all over come here. It's a major trade port, and a place for everyone to stay. It's quite nice actually." I smiled. "It's big as well."
•
Amy giggled. "I used to think that, but I grew up here; I'm used to it, despite it being ages since I've been here." We all finally arrived at a large home near the edge of the town, and Amy cheered.
•
"It's my old home!"
•
As soon as we stepped inside, we all caught sight of a man with brown hair, making himself a cup of tea. "Dad!" Amy cheered, and the man turned to her. "Amy!" She ran to him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug.
•
"Awe, how's my baby girl?" the man said, and Amy smiled, releasing him. "I'm wonderful! You remember Stampy, Squid, Rosie, and Finnball right?" He nodded, shaking the boys' hands and hugging Rosie. "I sure do!"
•
He turned to me, his smile disappearing. "Who's this?" Amy smiled. "This is my boyfriend, Lee. Lee, this is my father Tyson." I held out my hand, and he shook his, his frown remaining. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Lee." He nodded. "Yes, the feeling is mutual, Lee."
•
I wondered why he didn't say I could call him Tyson. Then it hit me.
•
He doesn't like me.
•
Oh no.
